The SMIT Marine Corps & OCONUS (MC&O) team is seeking a Business Systems & AI Solutions Intern to support automation and process improvement as part of the US Navy SMIT MC&O Team. This intern will work directly with MC&O leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance and integrate internal tools, streamline workflows, and leverage AI to automate manual processes where applicable. Primary Responsibilities - Enhance and integrate reporting tools, automation and AI - Maintain and enhance internally developed tools - Develop or support tools that analyze data to identify similar or analogous tasks - Conduct targeted research on technical services to support automation Basic Qualifications - Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field - Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and macros - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and operate in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment Preferred Qualifications - Experience with JavaScript, Visual Basic/VBA, and/or Python - Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to business or analytical problems - Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms - Experience working with automation tools, data repositories, or legacy systems - Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive under high-pressure deadlines If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
