As part of the Card Management Delivery Team, you will be at the center of Jack Henry's Technology Modernization Strategy. In your daily activities as a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor on our development team creating new financial applications and shared platform services. Compensation for this position will be a base salary of $92,000-140,000 depending on candidate experience and geographic location. What you'll be responsible for: - Writing, testing, and delivering high-quality code to implement product features, enhancements, and bug fixes. - Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate product requirements into technical solutions. - Participating in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and continuously improving the team's code quality. - Actively contributing to agile development practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. - Taking ownership of assigned tasks and proactively ensuring timely delivery of features through effective communication and collaboration with team members. - Completing product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification, and resolution. - Providing technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application. - Adhering to documented departmental and corporate standards. Overseeing the definition and documentation of standards. Contributing to defining and improving department processes. - May perform other duties as assigned. What you'll need to have: - A minimum of 6 years of software development including experience within back-end development using Microservices in .NET, C# or Golang. - Experience with containerization using Kubernetes and CI/CD using either ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. - Must have experience developing cloud hosted applications (e.g., Google Cloud Platform). What would be nice for you to have: - Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science. - Experience with Git-based repositories. - Experience with Pub/Sub, Kafka, and Eventing in general. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - SQL database experience. - Key Vaults and Certificate Management experience.
