About the team Risk Operations is responsible for managing the risk relationships spanning across global payment method, card, and financial partners. It is our mission to build operational controls to mitigate user and partner risk and enable strategic development opportunities. What you’ll do As a Risk Operations Analyst you will be working to ensure our policies, operations, and workflows align to the needs of our financial partners You will be accountable for workflows impacting a variety of cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to identify and assess regulatory, contractual, and partner risk. Further, you will influence and advise operational teams in building out scalable operational processes to ensure compliance with service level agreements, routine reporting, and overall risk mitigation. Responsibilities - Demonstrate sound judgment and an ability to navigate non-binary, high-risk decisions - Evaluate merchants, from successful venture-backed startups to well established institutions by assessing suitability to process on Stripe - Adhere closely to process while still constantly questioning assumptions, suggesting improvements, and following up implementation of those improvements - Effectively and clearly communicate, including with other Stripes, Stripe's users, and Stripe's financial partners - Identify trends and further report these to cross functional teams to enhance detection systems - Contribute to projects to enhance and optimize due diligence strategy systems and tools - Help build and scale processes across the risk operations eco-system - Identify gaps in current systems, policies and strategies, and recommends enhancements and process improvements to mitigate emerging risks through a collaborative approach with stakeholders Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum requirements - At least 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations in a fast moving environment - Experience scaling operational processes and driving quantifiable improvements - Experience working cross-functionally on complex problems - Ability to use data to quantify problems, tell a story, and influence a solution. - The ability and desire to challenge the status quo - Creative thinker who considers problems from a customer perspective while being pragmatic and solutions oriented when solving them - Can analyze feedback patterns and use these insights to drive process and tooling improvements - You have a lot of ownership, are accountable, and drive towards ambitious goals - Deep empathy for entrepreneurs running a business, and are motivated to solve problems to empower them Preferred qualifications - Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies in a financial technology environment - Knowledge of payment processing systems and associated risks

Responsibilities: - Draft AI governance artifacts aligned with the ‘Govern’ function of the AI RMF, including governance structures, roles, decision pathways, and oversight mechanisms. - Develop contextual risk mapping frameworks aligned with the ‘Map’ function of the AI RMF, characterizing AI system context, risk factors, and evaluation readiness. - Create TEVV planning and synthesis resources supporting AI RMF implementation and standards alignment, including evaluation objectives, scoping considerations, and traceability to AI RMF functions. - Develop integration artifacts linking evaluation insights to operational risk management practices under the ‘Manage’ function of the AI RMF. - Document feedback loops between evaluation outcomes and risk responses for continuous improvement. - Prepare governance integration briefs, contextual risk mapping use case profiles, TEVV coordination briefs, and risk integration use case briefs as directed by the COR. - Support optional evaluation exercise planning and synthesis activities as directed. Qualifications - Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience, including experience supporting AI evaluation planning, measurement or assurance approaches, or development of guidance and tools aligned with the AI RMF, preferably including work with the Federal Government, in particular NIST or comparable scientific and standards-focused organizations. - Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting the development, implementation, or operationalization of the NIST AI RMF and related AI governance, risk management, or evaluation activities.
