Field Service Engineer

ITW

• Provide on-site support for the Intron product range, including calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of electromechanical, servo-hydraulic and CEAST materials testing systems • Ensure all requests for onsite service are dealt with promptly and professionally • Look for leads for new machines, accessories and other services • Advise customers regarding product obsolescence • Report on competitive equipment and activities at customer sites • Prepare and plan for visits to complete jobs correctly • Manage cost-efficient travel and maintain communication with customers • Deliver software training to customers when required • Ensure accurate administration of work

Job Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Relevant technical qualification - mechatronics, mechanics, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Troubleshooting experience with electro mechanical or servo hydraulic systems
  • Ability to pick up technical training, processes and systems quickly
  • Basic awareness of costs and own impact on margin
  • Flexible, resilient, open minded
  • Computer Literate
  • Well organized with good time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player. Customer oriented.
