Job Description

Senior Field Service Technician – HVAC

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.

• Lead Complex Service Projects: Plan, coordinate, and execute service projects for IT Cooling systems at CPSD customer locations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. • Install, Start Up, and Commission Systems: Perform and oversee installations, system start-ups, commissioning, and field modifications for advanced IT Cooling products with minimal supervision. • Troubleshoot With Expertise: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related failures across IT Cooling systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques. • Direct and Mentor Others: Lead contractors, MEPPI-designated personnel, technicians, and authorized service providers through all phases of service projects. • Provide Technical Support: Deliver expert technical support via phone and email to internal teams, customers, third-party service organizations, and end users. • Respond When It Counts: Provide emergency technical support and on-call field service to resolve critical cooling issues and restore system operation. • Coordinate for Success: Schedule technical sales and service support activities, including emergency service calls, and assist in resolving service conflicts that arise during project execution. • Support Product Development: Assist engineering and product teams by identifying field issues and contributing to the planning and development of new IT Cooling products. • Inspect, Test, and Verify: Inspect and test returned products, components, and systems to determine defects and operational status. • Document and Report: Maintain accurate service records and documentation, including service reports and findings. Submit timely and accurate expense reports in accordance with company policies. • Collaborate Across Divisions: Work closely with representatives from other MEPPI Divisions to identify and address equipment- and service-related issues and opportunities. • Promote the MEPPI Brand: Further the goals and positive image of the Division by conducting business with MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers in a professional, timely, and cooperative manner. • Recommend Long-Term Solutions: Identify and recommend service product offerings that support the long-term maintenance and reliability of customer capital investments.

Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree in HVAC, Electrical/Electronics, or a related technical field required
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Mitsubishi Electric technology
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Cooling products and services with specialized expertise in Mitsubishi Electric technology
  • EPA Section 608 certification required
  • Advanced proficiency with mechanical and electronic test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and bills of materials

We plan to expand into multiple new counties from the mountains in the West to the coast out East to grow our movement of working-class people. Down Home is working to engage voters in small towns and rural areas through base building, leadership development, and direct voter contact. We are committed to building a long-term base of working-class power through both community organizing and civic engagement. The 2026 Field Team will be responsible for conducting a paid field operation in their respective turfs. The organizers will be tasked with building new relationships with community members and leaders, conducting paid canvasses, and gaining a fundamental understanding of our communities. The ultimate goal of these roles is to build a multiracial, working-class base of supporters that will continue to organize in their communities long after the 2026 elections.
