Location: Australia (Remote) Salary: A$80,000 - A$100,000 (DOE) + uncapped commission Cognisys is one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity and compliance consultancies in Europe and Vanta’s #1 Global Service Partner. We help SaaS and technology companies achieve and maintain ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other compliance frameworks quickly, pragmatically, and without unnecessary overhead. Alongside compliance, we also deliver critical cybersecurity services, including CREST-accredited penetration testing and ongoing vulnerability management as a service. Cognisys is entering its fourth consecutive year of 100% year-on-year growth, and we’re continuing to scale our sales organisation globally. As a Founding Account Executive focused on the APAC market, you will help accelerate our growth across the region. You’ll be responsible for your own pipeline and engage directly with founders, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, and Operations leaders at fast-growing SaaS companies. Success in this role potentially opens up the opportunity to build out a team. About the Role As Founding Account Executive at Cognisys, you’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through to close. You’ll help prospects understand: - Why security and compliance matter commercially - How Vanta and Cognisys work together - How our expertise accelerates audit readiness and reduces risk You’ll be supported by a strong, ambitious sales team, technical experts, and a proven delivery model, but you’ll be expected to run your patch with ownership and discipline. Key Responsibilities - Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across the APAC SMB market - Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed agreement - Work closely with Vanta’s sales team on joint opportunities and co-selling motions - Build strong relationships with startup founders, technical leaders, and operators - Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in HubSpot - Develop and execute effective sales strategies to consistently meet or exceed targets - Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to shape tailored solutions - Take a proactive, problem-solving approach, even beyond your immediate remit - Continuously develop your sales craft and cybersecurity domain knowledge Requirements - 3-5 years of closing experience as an Account Executive - Entrepreneurial success unlocks the chance to create your own team - Comfortable selling to SMB and scale-up customers - Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot - Strong discovery, qualification, and commercial conversation skills - Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets - Confident communicator, able to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Nice to have (but not essential): - Experience selling compliance, security, or GRC solutions - Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar frameworks If you don’t tick every box but believe you can do the job, we strongly encourage you to apply.
