Role Description As a Workday Programme Lead / Manager, you will own and drive a portfolio of Workday transformation and implementation projects, reporting directly to senior leadership and founders on programme status, risks, and outcomes. This is a strategic leadership role requiring both hands-on delivery expertise and executive-level programme oversight. You will operate across global teams, ensuring successful Workday deployments while aligning business objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. - Lead a portfolio of Workday programmes/projects end-to-end - Drive programme governance, planning, risk, and issue management - Partner with global stakeholders and system integrators to deliver implementations - Manage cross-functional teams across HR, Finance, IT, and vendors - Own programme roadmaps, milestones, and delivery tracking - Provide executive reporting and steerco updates - Define and communicate programme vision and direction - Support change management and business adoption - Identify process improvements and delivery efficiencies Only experienced Workday consultants to apply please. As a member of the VR team, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role. Qualifications - 5+ years’ programme/project management experience, including Workday implementations - Proven track record leading end-to-end Workday deployments - Strong knowledge of Workday delivery methodologies - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - Experience managing complex, global programmes - Strong capability in risk, issue, and governance management - Ability to lead cross-functional, distributed teams - Confident operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Requirements - Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile (beneficial but not mandatory) - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft) - Degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field - Experience in post-go-live optimisation or transformation programmes - Background in consulting or system integrators Benefits As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in South Africa, UK or EU so long as you are authorised to work in the country you reside in without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
