Senior Data Engineer

• Design and structure the build of a data platform on AWS that meets the needs of internal stakeholders; • Identify the best solutions to optimize the architecture of our data platform; • Ensure data observability, quality, and reliability for our internal and external stakeholders; • Automate pipeline testing processes for onboarding new data sources, integrated with CI/CD; • Execute the data platform adoption plan together with the teams responsible for data governance; • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to enable an integrated data flow.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of modern data architectures (data lake, lakehouse [Delta/Iceberg], analytical modeling, and event-driven architectures);
  • Experience participating in at least one data platform deployment;
  • Experience implementing data quality, observability, and governance;
  • Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance as applied to data platforms;
  • Advanced English, written and spoken;
  • Proactivity;
  • Strong communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts;
  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems;

Role Description We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for migrating customer data from competitor and legacy systems into Applied Systems SaaS products while ensuring business continuity, data quality, and customer satisfaction. As a strategic contributor within Data Services, the Data Migration Engineer works closely with new and existing customers to deliver high quality, customized data migration solutions that support unique business needs. The role collaborates cross functionally with teams across Onboarding and Success Services, Development, Operations, Solution Services, and Support to deliver complex, end-to-end migration outcomes. While this role involves taking ownership of assigned tasks and tickets, it operates as part of a global Data Services team leveraging a Follow the Sun delivery model to keep data moving across regions and time zones.
