Job Summary The Sr. Compensation Analyst performs a broad range of duties as part of the Compensation team within the People organization. The position plays a key role in ensuring enterprise compensation programs and activities are managed consistently across the organization and align with the organization’s compensation philosophy. Serves as a consultant on compensation matters and works collaboratively with HR partners and business leaders to ensure pay is internally and externally competitive. Job Description DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Participates in the design and development of compensation programs, structures and guidelines. Meets with and presents information to senior business leaders and HR partners as needed. - Performs job analyses and develops pay recommendations for assigned business functions, ensuring internal and external equity as well as compliance with applicable company pay policies and federal/state laws. Evaluates job documentation and competitive market benchmarks to support base pay and/or variable pay recommendations. - May collaborate with HR team members and other corporate functions to maintain system or financial information. - Leads assigned components of the year-end compensation processes for annual pay programs. - Other duties and projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Certification and Licensure - CCP certification preferred. Education - Required (minimum): Associate’s degree or equivalent experience - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Experience - Required (minimum): 3-5 years’ experience in human resources with 3 years’ experience working in a compensation function - Preferred: 5-8 years experience in human resources with 3 years’ experience working in a compensation function SKILL REQUIREMENTS: - Advanced skills in spreadsheet, word processing, email and presentation applications required. Must be able to create pivot tables and advanced formulas. - Manages data effectively to conduct reporting, identify trends, synthesize and draw conclusions, and articulate a plan of action. Must maintain a strong attention to detail. - Proficiency in HR systems. - Requires the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment. - Excellent judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. - Ability to act in a lead capacity managing projects, programs and processes. Takes initiative to identify and propose process improvements. - Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. - Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in meeting facilitation. - Must be able to communicate effectively and patiently.
