We are looking for a Director, Developer Operations & Experience to act as our primary architect of internal flow. The Developer Experience (DevExp) organization is a core part of Miovision’s Transformation, Delivery & Technology (TDT) department, responsible for building and operating Miovision’s Internal Developer Platform and Agentic SDLC. This platform enables engineers, solution engineers, QA, and other technical and semi-technical users to build, test, deploy, operate, and evolve software quickly, safely, and with confidence. As the Director, Developer Operations & Experience you will steer the evolution from a traditional DevOps function into a modern Developer Experience and Platform Engineering organization. This role owns the strategy, architecture, and execution of the internal developer platform, CI/CD, cloud foundations, observability, and developer tooling, while also pioneering how AI and agent-first pipelines are embedded into the software development lifecycle. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will build and lead a team, coach deeply, and regularly roll up your sleeves alongside engineers. At Miovision, everyone is a builder, and this role exists to ensure that building is fast, intuitive, secure, and increasingly AI-native while maintaining deep accountability for reliability, security, and production operations. Objectives and Responsibilities: Operational Excellence & Reliability - Own platform and infrastructure uptime; establish SLOs and reliability governance. - Drive DORA metric improvements. - Standardize incident response and operational maturity. - Ensure secure, compliant, and auditable production operations. - Own production system health and availability with Engineering/Architecture. - Establish a service maturity model (reliability, security, observability, CI/CD, AI-readiness). - Enforce secure coding standards and Quality Gates across all repositories. Lead DevOps → Developer Experience Transformation - Evolve DevOps to a modern, platform-engineered, AI-enabled Developer Experience organization, while maintaining reliability and security accountability. - Shift focus to enabling all contributors (including QA, solution engineering) as builders. - Introduce platform-as-product operating models with roadmaps, feedback, and metrics. Accelerate Onboarding, Wayfinding, and Productivity - Radically reduce developer/contributor onboarding time. - Improve wayfinding via standards, templates, and conventions. - Standardize repository structure and build/deploy patterns for AI workflows, security, and predictability. Embed AI Across the SDLC - Drive AI adoption across engineering roles. - Design AI-driven capabilities: automated code review, test generation, incident analysis, anomaly detection, and remediation. - Translate emerging agentic tooling into internal capabilities. - Ensure AI and agent-driven workflows operate within secure, monitored, and policy-bound environments. - Embed guardrails to protect proprietary code, customer data, and infrastructure secrets. Own CI/CD, Cloud Foundations, and Observability - Own CI/CD platforms, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code standards. - Define and enforce reliability and quality while enforcing container hardening, image provenance validation, and runtime protections. - Standardize on-call models, incident response, escalation, and post-incident learning. - Automate runbooks and operational workflows. - Partner on AWS usage, cloud patterns, cost efficiency, and observability standards. - Own platform reliability, performance, cost governance, and operability templates. Ideal Profile: - 10+ years of experience in Developer Operations, Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, or related domains. - Prior experience leading DevOps and/or Developer Experience teams. - Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native architecture. - Deep understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code. - Hands-on experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker). - Experience scaling DevOps / Platform Engineering across multi-team, multi-product environments. - Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills. - Experience operating mission-critical production systems.
