The QA Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of multiple teams tasked with continuously improving the quality of the company’s product line by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating product and process defects, to deliver market and customer driven business results. You will evaluate test results, prepare change requests, and generate measures to assess the product quality. In this role you will work with an integrated team of developers, product managers/owners, and system analysts for test planning, test Automation and execution, and product validation. As part of the supervisor role, you will be responsible for attending Agile ceremonies and mentoring as well as being an escalation point to the quality assurance analysts/engineers on your team, approving PTO requests, assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new associates, and collecting data for the Quality Organization. Location: Remote US – Eastern/Central Time Zones Preferred What are the qualifications, skills, & experience of an ideal candidate? - 8+ years of experience in business and/or systems testing - 2+ years of experience leading teams and delivering products in an Agile environment - Prior experience as a QA Lead/Supervisor/Manager is required - Healthcare industry experience is a bonus - Expert understanding of testing techniques, including functional, integration, performance, and regression testing - Working knowledge of test management tools and automated testing tools (e.g., test case management, execution reporting, defect tracking) - Experience leading and mentoring QA analysts/engineers, including effective one on ones, goal setting and supporting personal/professional development - Experience in cross-functional leadership and influence — acting as a bridge between product, engineering, and quality to drive outcomes - Experience supporting and developing procedures and governance for test documentation, execution, and reporting - Strong organizational skills including project tracking, prioritization, and attention to detail - Experience contributing to a culture of recognition and accountability (e.g., supporting fair recognition and accurate and honest performance feedback) How will the ideal candidate use AI as an Efficiency Multiplier? - Experience using AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., Amazon Q Developer / Copilot-style tools) inside and outside of an IDE to accelerate work such as drafting test scenarios, generating automation scaffolding, refactoring code, and debugging failures, code reviews — with human verification and sound engineering judgment - Ability to use AI effectively to create lightweight efficiency tools (scripts, helpers, utilities) that improve team throughput and streamline reporting - Demonstrated ability to mentor others on practical AI usage: prompting discipline, validation habits, and safe application to day-to-day QA work - Comfortable using AI to summarize meetings, objectives, test logs and code failures, propose fixes, and speed up analysis — while ensuring outputs are explainable and verified before adoption What proven technical skills does the ideal candidate possess? - Proficiency in reading and writing JavaScript, Python, C# (or similar languages used for test automation and tooling) - Hands-on experience reviewing, modifying, and troubleshooting automation code built with Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver - Comfort working within an IDE (VS Code, Eclipse, or similar) to run, debug, and maintain automated tests - Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar tools for backlog management, sprint planning, and work tracking) - Source‑control change management software (GitLab, Git, or similar Git‑based version control systems) - Test management software (TestRail or similar) - Continuous integration tools (GitLab CI for pipeline execution and test integration) - Application performance management (New Relic, Splunk, or similar monitoring and observability tools) - Database validation (SQL/MySQL for backend validation, test data verification, and defect analysis) - Understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure including environments, deployments, and cloud‑hosted architectures) - Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by analyzing test failures, reviewing logs, stack traces, and CI pipeline output to determine root cause Why would you want to work on this team? - You want to work on a high-transactional platform that directly impacts patient experience, where quality and reliability truly matter - You are excited to be part of a team that continually improves processes and enhances platform capabilities - You have a passion for leadership and helping others grow, whether through formal leadership or influence - You solve problems pragmatically — incorporating stakeholder input when needed, but decisively moving forward and owning results - You are a quality evangelist who is passionate about delivering high-performing, functional software to the healthcare industry Availity culture and benefits: - Availity is a certified “Great Place to Work”! This position requires a strong technical background in power generation and a dedication to maintaining the quality and integrity of our projects. As the Document Control Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's document control and records management systems across all power generation facilities, projects, and corporate functions. The role ensures that all technical, project, quality, safety, contractual, and administrative documentation is created, reviewed, approved, distributed, stored, and retained in a controlled and auditable manner. You will support projects and operations by ensuring the right information is available to the right people, in the right format, at the right time.
