Job Description

Commercial Lead – Automated Safety Systems

Modelwise

The Problem A gap exists in the market. It is growing. Modern aircraft, autonomous vehicles, and industrial systems depend on increasingly complex electronics. Ensuring these systems behave safely under every failure condition is one of the hardest engineering problems today. A critical step in making these systems possible still runs on outdated principles. Engineers calculate key safety metrics in spreadsheets, manually tracing failure behaviour in highly complex systems. Complexity is increasing exponentially. Safety analysis is becoming the bottleneck. Existing tools cannot keep up. The consequences are already visible: faltering margins, recalls, and stalled innovation. Modelwise built the first mathematically complete platform for automated safety analysis. Engineering teams can now analyse complex systems faster, earlier, and with more rigor. We work with leading companies across automotive, aerospace, and industrial engineering. Automated safety analysis is already starting to take hold. We expect it to become the standard for developing safety-critical hardware. We intend to set that standard. Your Impact: Hiring Objectives - Own and close complex technical sales processes. Lead engagements from first conversation through evaluation, proof-of-concept, and commercial agreement, covering both technical validation and negotiation. - Build and develop a high-quality pipeline. Target organisations across automotive, aerospace, and industrial electronics where automated safety analysis delivers clear gains in speed, safety, and cost. - Engage engineers and decision-makers. Build relationships with functional safety engineers, system architects, engineering managers, and technical leadership. - Translate technical capability into business value. Demonstrate how Modelwise improves productivity, reduces risk, and accelerates time-to-market. - Drive adoption through execution. Structure and guide pilots, proof-of-concepts, and onboarding to ensure successful validation and long-term use. - Establish presence in the market. Represent Modelwise in the functional safety and electronics community through events, conferences, and direct engagement. Who We're Looking For - Experience selling complex technical products. Background in electronics, semiconductors, embedded systems, or engineering software is highly relevant. - Comfort in engineering-led environments. Ability to engage multiple technical stakeholders, including engineers and safety specialists. - Experience with complex sales cycles. Familiarity with evaluations, pilots, proof-of-concepts, and contract negotiation. - Ability to build pipeline proactively. Experience generating opportunities through outreach, network, and industry presence. - Technical fluency. Strong understanding of electronics or embedded systems, with the ability to engage credibly. - Clear communication and commercial instinct. Ability to connect technical detail to business impact in a precise and structured way. Why Modelwise? The market cannot continue as it is. Safety analysis is critical, expensive, and no longer keeping pace with system complexity. You contribute to defining the standard. Automated safety analysis is emerging. Adoption is happening now across leading engineering organisations. Direct exposure to top-tier customers. Work with teams in automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, and industrial systems. Equity is a core component. This role includes a meaningful equity package in a rapidly growing AI-powered deep-tech company, directly linking your contribution to long-term value creation. Full ownership of commercial outcomes. Responsibility for pipeline, deals, and revenue contribution. High upside environment. Market definition creates room for an outsized impact based on execution.
