RAYUS Radiology
Role Description RAYUS Radiology is looking for a General Extender to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a General Extender, you will be responsible for: - Augmenting a physician's ability to provide medical interpretation services to patients. - Assisting in the creation of all Radiology reports, editing reports for accuracy and compliance with the American Health Association (AHA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) Guidelines. - Working directly with radiologists to place radiographic findings into appropriate reports for all modalities of radiology. - Transcribing radiographic dictations into radiographic reports. - Preparing completed reports for distribution to clients. - Managing the work list of patient orders and distributing orders to appropriate radiologists and/or sub-specialty worklist. - Working closely with other General Extenders to achieve the common goal of having all orders read by radiologists within the required turn-around time. This is a full-time position 100% remote within the US, working 40 hours per week, late evening/overnight shifts 6p-2a/8p-4a EST (weekend rotation and holidays required). Qualifications - Required: Associate's degree in health science, or related field, or the equivalent in applicable work experience. - One (1) year experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Editor. - One (1) year work experience which required daily use of medical terminology and demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, or related field. - Two (2) years' experience working in Diagnostic Technology, or other related anatomy/medically focused area.
