Team Leader – Project Accounting

• Lead and manage the project accounting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high performance. • Oversee the preparation and review of project financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, revenues, and profitability. • Collaborate closely with project managers and other departments to facilitate financial planning and budget adherence. • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and compliance. • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities for the project accounting team. • Manage audit preparations and liaise with internal and external auditors. • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities. • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management regarding project financial performance and risks. • Promote a collaborative and proactive team culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting principles and property management industry practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance is an advantage.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing platform data in the company's financial / platform systems. What You'll Be Doing - Reconcile and analyze ending balances - Assist with the launch of new digital assets and products impacting platform accounting operations - Ensure that appropriate internal controls over platform accounting are in place - Operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions - With major system experience, recognize the links upstream/downstream and verbalize the impacts & reliance in connection with changes or enhancements - Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage and oversee any testing to improve existing processes and automate any related systems - Provide support for internal and external audits What We Look For In You - 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries - Minimum 2 years of experience in a manager role. - Financial services industry experience such as fintech, payments and/or broker dealers - B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operation and accounting challenges - Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization - Operational processes experience - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data required - Individual should work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements - Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
