Job Description
IT Systems Administrator
Naviant
Role Description Are you ready to be the backbone of a modern, high-performing organization, keeping systems reliable, users productive, and data flowing securely? We’re seeking a hands-on IT System Administrator who thrives in a fast-moving IT environment and takes pride in owning both systems and outcomes. This role blends core IT administration with defined, functional Salesforce administration responsibilities, supporting end users, SaaS platforms, devices, and identity systems across the organization. - Approximately 25% of this role focuses on Salesforce administration, including user management, reporting, data integrity, and light configuration in support of established business processes. - This role does not involve heavy Salesforce development (e.g. Apex or custom code), but rather ensures the platform remains reliable, usable, and well-governed for internal teams. - The remaining 75% centers on general IT operations, such as endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS tooling, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of internal systems. - This is a highly visible role that requires strong technical judgment, excellent service orientation, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. - While this role owns day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of internal systems, it operates within a broader support ecosystem that includes IT leadership, external partners, and specialized vendors for security and infrastructure. Qualifications - Proven experience supporting end users in a modern SaaS-based IT environment. - Strong hands-on skills in device management, identity and access management, troubleshooting, and systems administration. - Practical experience as a Salesforce Administrator, including user management, configuration, reports and dashboards, data quality, and end-user support. - Demonstrated ability to support non-technical users with patience, clarity, and professionalism. - Solid understanding of access controls, least-privilege principles, and basic security best practices. - Analytical and proactive problem-solver who looks beyond symptoms to address root causes. Requirements - Independently manage day-to-day IT operations, including user onboarding/offboarding, device management, access control, and SaaS administration. - Take functional ownership of Salesforce administration tasks such as user management, basic configuration, reporting, data hygiene, and support requests. - Improve system reliability and user experience by identifying recurring issues and implementing preventative solutions. - Enhance documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge resources. - Partner effectively with business teams to understand needs and translate them into scalable, secure technical solutions. - Fully own the health, reliability, and usability of Naviant’s internal IT systems and Salesforce environment. - Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve automation, and reduce manual effort across systems. - Maintain strong system hygiene, access controls, and data integrity, supporting auditability and organizational trust. - Contribute to longer-term IT strategy and continuous improvement initiatives. Benefits - Comprehensive Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance - Employer Paid Disability & Life Coverage - 401k & Match Program - Generous Paid Time Off - Flex Spending Plans & Dependent Care - Monthly Home Office Allowance - Volunteer Time Off - Charitable Giving Program - Lifestyle Spending Account - Employee Assistance Program, Parent Program, Wellness Initiatives, Virtual Gatherings, Employee Discount Program, Annual In-Person Celebration Week, and more!
