Virtual Assist

Role Description Virtual Assist is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimators. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to provide accurate and competitive bids. - Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications. - Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work. - Analyze historical data and pricing trends to improve the accuracy of estimates. - Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors. - Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing. - Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions. - Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into production smoothly. - Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies. - Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates. - Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing, lead times, and product availability. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred). - Experience with estimating in [e.g., residential, commercial, civil, industrial] construction. - Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating). - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. - Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello). - Knowledge of local building codes and permit processes. - LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable building practices is a plus.

This role will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance while partnering closely with the CFO to scale our financial infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition. - Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. - Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. - Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and procedures. - Coordinate and manage annual audit and corporate tax filings. - Partner with CFO on cash and equity management, budgeting, forecasting, and SaaS-specific metrics. - Mentor and supervise accounting personnel (currently one direct report), fostering professional growth and accountability. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Sales to drive efficiency and scalability across financial processes. - This is a remote-first role with expected in-office presence on a periodic basis. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance. - 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller or similar senior accounting or leadership role. - Knowledge or ability to research and apply GAAP, SaaS / recurring revenue recognition, and financial reporting. - Experience with accounting systems (Sage Intacct preferred). - Proven ability to implement scalable accounting systems and processes. - Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
