Job Description

Account Executive - DACH

Smeetz

- At Smeetz, we are dedicated to revolutionising the way visitor attractions manage their sales and optimise their revenue. As a unified commerce Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform powered by AI, we provide attractions such as theme parks, museums, and theaters with an all-in-one solution to effectively manage, market, and price their products. - We are a fast-growing SaaS startup looking for a driven and commercially sharp Account Executive to strengthen our presence in Switzerland and support growth across the broader DACH region. This role follows a unique Hire-to-Convert model: you will start by covering high-value Swiss and DACH accounts during a team member's maternity leave (June–October 2026), while already dedicating ~40% of your time to sales prospecting — before transitioning into a dedicated Sales role from November 2026 onward. - As our Swiss/DACH AE, you will own opportunities end-to-end — from first contact to signed contract — and play a central role in deepening Smeetz's position as the go-to AI-powered commerce platform for attractions in Switzerland and beyond. You will work closely with the Head of Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation to drive meaningful growth in one of our most strategic regions. - Key responsibilities: - Phase 1 — Dual Role (June–October 2026): Serve as primary Account Manager (~60%) for high-value Swiss/DACH accounts during maternity cover — handling renewals, upsells, Business Reviews, and client satisfaction — while dedicating ~40% to prospecting, pipeline building, and network development. - Phase 2 — Full Sales (November 2026+): Transition to a dedicated Sales role for Switzerland and the broader DACH region, leveraging 4 months of client proximity and industry relationships to accelerate pipeline and close new business. - Generate new business opportunities: Identify, prospect, and qualify leads across Switzerland and DACH — leveraging inbound, outbound, and your AM-period network to build a strong pipeline from Phase 1 onward. - Manage the full sales cycle: Own the end-to-end acquisition process — from outbound outreach and discovery to demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing — before handing over to Implementation. - Strengthen Swiss & DACH market presence: Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs in Switzerland and DACH to shape Smeetz's go-to-market strategy and expand into new segments. - Develop the market through field presence: Represent Smeetz at key trade shows, conferences, and associations across the Swiss and DACH attractions, leisure, and cultural industry to deepen relationships and generate opportunities. - Travel to build relationships and close deals: Visit prospects and customers across Switzerland and the DACH region, attend industry events and conferences, and join internal meet-ups with the commercial team. Use in-person time to deepen relationships and accelerate deals. - Collaborate cross-functionally: Share customer insights with Product and collaborate with Marketing to adapt materials for the Swiss and DACH market. - Embrace AI and automation: Actively use and contribute to Smeetz's AI-driven tools and workflows — we automate everything and expect you to embrace AI in your daily work.

Job Requirements

  • Language skills: Native-level German (mandatory). Swiss-German and French is a strong plus to cover bilingual Swiss accounts. English fluency required for internal collaboration.
  • Experience: Proven full-cycle AE, AM, or closing experience in B2B SaaS; selling to hospitality, leisure, ticketing, or attractions is a strong advantage.
  • Industry knowledge: Deep familiarity with the leisure, attractions, or culture vertical is a significant plus (e.g., attraction, competitor, or OTA background).
  • Sales ownership: Comfortable owning the full sales process from discovery and demos through to negotiation and closing.
  • Account management capability: Able to manage existing client relationships with care — handling renewals, upsells, and Business Reviews during coverage.
  • Pipeline mindset: Strong ability to build, manage, and prioritise a healthy pipeline through structured prospecting and qualification.
  • Tools: Experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot), modern sales tools (e.g., Sales Navigator, Clay), and AI assistants like Claude.
  • Commercial acumen: Confident running complex commercial conversations with senior stakeholders and tailoring value propositions to their priorities.
  • Mindset: Self-motivated, goal-driven, resilient, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • Communication & presence: Clear, persuasive communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Personal attributes:
  • A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and takes ownership of their territory.
  • Empathetic and relationship-driven — able to step into an existing client portfolio and build trust quickly during the AM coverage phase.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, comfortable navigating ambiguity in a scale-up environment.
  • A strong networker who actively builds relationships at events, conferences, and in the field.
  • Consultative seller who thinks in terms of ROI and business impact, not just features.
  • Comfortable traveling frequently across Switzerland and the DACH region.
  • Eager with AI and automation — genuinely excited about using AI tools in daily work. At Smeetz, we automate everything and expect everyone to embrace this mindset.

Benefits

  • Recognition of your successes through career growth, ownership opportunities, and an equity option package.
  • A unique career path: start with deep client immersion, transition into a dedicated sales role as a trusted relationship builder with a built-in network.
  • A supportive team environment that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and mutual respect.
  • A performance-driven culture that celebrates outcomes and innovation.
  • Exposure to a cutting-edge AI-powered SaaS platform and the opportunity to work with iconic Swiss and DACH attractions.
  • Flexible work hours and remote work options.
