About The Role Under limited guidance process and decision retail loan applications originated through direct, indirect and web channels. Using the application processing system, document loan decisions and communicate decisions to application source. Participate in new product development and process improvement as assigned. Promote the Credit Union through cross sell opportunities. Provide excellent member and channel service. RESPONSIBILITIES - Participate in team meetings to support the sharing of information and provide training opportunities. - Maintain positive and supportive relationships with CCU team members for the attainment of credit union quality and growth goals. - Document and communicate credit decisions. - Prepare adverse action notices as required. - Contribute to the development of policy and procedure enhancements and presentation of change opportunities. - Maintain knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures to support the performance of responsibilities. - Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory and credit union laws. - Contribute to credit training programs, including Branch and Call Center, as requested. - Execute assigned lending authorities to decision applications. - Analyze retail credit applications under guidance of established policy and product definitions REQUIREMENTS - Able to work a flexible schedule that includes working weekends. - Requires 1+ year of consumer lending experience or an equivalent combination of education and financial institution experience. - Required current NMLS license or ability to obtain upon hire. - Proficient in the use of Windows software, including Microsoft Office, to support reporting and analysis needs of position. - Knowledgeable in eligibility requirements and all types of accounts and products the credit union provides including credit life, disability, GAP and MBI insurance. - Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to lending, thorough knowledge of credit union policy, credit granting criteria, interest rates, and the documentation required for each type of loan available. - Must be skilled in personal and telephone interviewing techniques, able to identify loan alternatives, able to communicate decisions effectively and maintain a cooperative attitude with staff and members. - Requires attention to detail, a high degree of organization and excellent solution seeking skills.
