Financial Analyst

• Support client reporting requirements, including preparing protocol budget estimates and actual client spend schedules • Assist with the financial system setup for new customers, contract awards and pricing schedules • Prepare IRB invoices, review invoices for accuracy, distribute invoices, and perform other similar processes associated with the invoice-to-payments cycle • Prepare journal entries and updating of periodic financial close schedules • Respond to both internal business partner and external client inquiries • Preparation of periodic KPIs for management • Peer review of work performed by junior team members • Create ad hoc reporting as needed • Assist with acquisition related activities • Maintain databases to ensure data is up to date and accurate • Monitor shared mailbox; respond to invoice inquiries, credit memo requests, and fee schedule requests, etc. • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of related finance or accounting experience
- Strong computer skills with MS EXCEL (Intermediate), MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Tableau, Oracle SQL, Salesforce, and NetSuite accounting software experience preferred
- Accounting procedures and practical knowledge of GAAP
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to provide solutions and follow-up within established rules and timelines
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication skills required (includes face to face, phone calls, email, and professional writing)
