This is a fully remote contract.  Technical Release Manager (Utilities) We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Release Manager to orchestrate complex delivery cycles across our integrated energy and water platforms. You will sit at the heart of our digital transformation, bridging the gap between engineering excellence and operational stability. Role Overview: As the Technical Release Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end release lifecycle. You’ll coordinate deployments across a multi-cloud ecosystem, ensuring that scheduled updates to our customer and billing platforms are seamless, secure, and transparent. Key Responsibilities: - Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead release planning and execution meetings with DevOps, Software Delivery, and QA teams to manage dependencies and resource contention. - Release Governance: Define and enforce the "Definition of Done" for production readiness, including sign-offs, automated test results, and security clearances. - Environment Management: Oversee the synchronisation of non-production environments to prevent "code drift" across the delivery pipeline. - Deployment Orchestration: Manage the release calendar, ensuring low-impact windows and clear communication with business stakeholders. - Risk & Mitigation: Identify potential bottlenecks in the CI/CD pipeline and lead "Go/No-Go" sessions for major production milestones. Technical Landscape: You will be coordinating releases across a sophisticated tech stack: - Salesforce Industries (Vlocity): Managing OmniScript, Integration Procedures, and DataRaptor deployments. - Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O: Coordinating finance and operations updates with minimal downtime. - AWS Serverless: Managing deployments for Lambda functions, SNS/SQS messaging patterns, and API Gateways. Essential Experience: - Release Leadership: 3+ years in a technical release or delivery management role. - Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Salesforce (ideally Industries/CME) and AWS deployment patterns. - DevOps Mindset: Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, or Jenkins) and automated testing frameworks. - Complex Integration: Proven ability to manage "locked-step" releases where multiple systems must go live simultaneously. Desirable Qualities: - Utilities Sector Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific cycles (e.g., billing runs, regulatory reporting windows, or meter data processing). - D365 Experience: Specific familiarity with the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations deployment lifecycle. - Agility: Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure production deployments. Equal Opportunities Statement We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates. We actively encourage applications from women, ethnic minorities, and individuals with disabilities. We consider all flexible working arrangements, subject to the requirements of the role. Where reasonable adjustments are needed, we will strive to make changes to accommodate them.
