Internal Communications Manager, R&D Quality
Vertex Pharmaceuticals
• Support and manage all internal RDQA communication activities and external communications to stakeholders • Express creative ideas and have a keen eye for detail • Execute tactics and project plans effectively • Partner with corporate functions and stakeholders on business and change management communications • Support/facilitate presenting to VP and RDQA Leadership Team (RDQLT) on strategic and tactical issues • Collaborate with RDQ leadership team to set communications objectives each year • Ensure alignment of communications tactics with RDQ goals and objectives • Support day-to-day management of employee and LT communications • Support key RDQ communications events such as presentations, Town Halls, Lunch & Learns • Manage annual RDQ communications survey and implement improvement plans based on results • Contribute to general employee/internal communications activities and special initiatives within RDQ or Vertex.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in corporate communications, content creation and management with a strong background in internal/employee communications preferred
- Ability to deliver results with limited direction and guidance and on tight deadlines; a self-starter
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Visio, Articulate or other communication and presentation software.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated good judgment and collaboration skills
- Management/leadership experience
- Experience partnering with HR, Leadership and other functional areas (E.g Extended Leadership Team)
- Ability to keep information confidential.
