Overview FWI is building a team to grow quality Registered Apprenticeship programs through industry intermediaries by providing technical expertise, sector-based outreach, and program development services to employers across new, emerging, and in-demand industries on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship. As a Project Manager, you will lead the day-to-day execution of all project tasks, managing deliverables, reporting, staff coordination, and stakeholder communications to ensure the program meets its performance objectives on schedule and within budget. FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment. **Position is contingent upon contract award** Work Schedule and Location: Remote: This part-time remote position will work approximately 32 hours a week Responsibilities - Drive the day-to-day execution of project activities, keeping the team aligned on priorities, deadlines, and deliverable quality - Build and maintain the project Work Plan, tracking tasks, budgets, milestones, and staff assignments - Write, edit, and quality-check reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables - Prepare and submit status reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to government leadership - Manage project financials including monthly invoicing and supporting documentation - Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure staff access to government systems such as Salesforce - Enter and maintain accurate data in ETA systems, including stakeholder contacts, outreach outcomes, and apprentice enrollment information - Facilitate communication across the project team, subcontractors, and government stakeholders - Track and submit all public-facing deliverables on schedule using government-provided templates Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree - Demonstrated leadership experience providing oversight and direction to a team of staff - Experience interpreting contracts and work requirements, ensuring responsiveness, and achieving successful performance; may include subject matter expertise and specific technical knowledge - Writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to ensure final products meet content standards - Analytical skills with experience in evaluation and implementation of projects/goals - Experience establishing schedules, meeting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of projects including budgets - Ability to prepare reports for senior management and DOL leadership regarding the status of projects - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance - Able travel domestically as required Desired: - Knowledge of Registered Apprenticeship programs or workforce development - Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) - Prior experience managing deliverables and reporting on federal contracts - Experience with data entry and tracking in government information systems FWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
