Position Description As a UX/UI Designer at Zoic Labs you will support the visual development and design of tools across platforms such as web, desktop, and occasionally XR design. We’re looking for someone eager to explore early concepts to polished final designs. You should be ready to get up to speed with workflows in complex domains like aerospace but also excited to help boil this complexity down to interactions that feel intuitive and meaningful. You’ll report directly to our core design staff and creative director collaborating via MS Teams and regular video meetings. Our team values adaptability and good communication skills. This is a project-based position with an expected start date of May 2026 through July 2026 with the possibility of an extension by this time period. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product managers, subject matter experts, engineers, and other designers - Contribute to component libraries in Figma - Produce low to high fidelity wireframes and clickable prototypes - Present designs to lead designers and engineering stakeholders, clearly articulating rationale for design decisions Skills and Software: - Proficient in Figma's core toolset including component systems, libraries, styles, and variables - Basic understanding of design token workflows - Knowledge of interaction design patterns for enterprise software (charts, filtering, data tables, etc) - Experience working within and following an existing design system - Basic understanding of human / computer interaction psychology principles - Familiarity with information design and solid graphic design fundamentals - Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Nice to have, but not required: - Adobe After Effects - Digital agency experience - Presentation / pitch deck design - Basic skills with 3d software like Maxon Cinema4d or Blender - Zeplin - Interest in the impact of AI on product design - Experience with analytics software like Google Analytics or HotJar Other Requirements: - Updated portfolio that demonstrates UI/UX skills in digital products - Cover letter with brief intro to yourself and your work.
