Job Description

Senior Technical Project Manager, Product Design – Delivery

BetterHelp

• Own and operationalize end-to-end program delivery for complex cross-functional product initiatives spanning Product Design, Product Management, Engineering (including QA), and more; from intake, scoping, and research operations through development handoff, launch readiness, delivery follow-through, and retrospectives. • Identify process inefficiencies, delivery bottlenecks, and sources of friction across Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering, and implement improvements that accelerate delivery while improving quality and consistency. • Partner closely with Product Design leadership to plan, prioritize, and drive design initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring alignment to business priorities, delivery goals, team capacity, and organizational constraints. • Own the planning and facilitation of the Design team’s core execution touchpoints, including weekly delivery planning, milestone check-ins, dependency reviews, and retrospectives - reducing coordination overhead and helping Product Design leaders stay focused on higher-leverage work. • Drive timely decisions and make tradeoffs visible when priorities, scope, timelines, or technical constraints are unclear, helping teams maintain momentum and make informed choices. • Coordinate and operationalize user research initiatives, including participant recruiting, scheduling, vendor coordination, incentive tracking, and ensuring research insights are documented, organized, and accessible. • Establish and maintain clear documentation, workflows, templates, and operating procedures that support scalable collaboration across Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering. • Facilitate change management initiatives to support consistency across evolving team norms, processes, and organizational culture. Act as a champion for introducing greater structure and predictability for the organization. • Execute multiple projects simultaneously. You have demonstrated your ability to work through ambiguity and to create your own structure to move projects forward effectively.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, design program management, product operations, or related roles, with a proven track record of managing complex cloud or mobile projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system architecture, and modern technical frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Lean or Kanban.
  • Demonstrated ability to define project scope, manage resources, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Datadog, etc)) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical mindset with a results-driven approach, using data to track performance and inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities from planning through launch.

  • Remote work with regular in-person bonding experiences sponsored by the company
  • Competitive compensation
  • Holistic perks program (including free therapy, employee wellness, and more)
  • Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
