About the Role Maleda Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Specialist to support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and statutory reporting initiatives for a leading enterprise organization. This role sits within a global accounting and reporting function and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate sustainability data measurement, financial compliance, and reporting integrity. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in financial principles who is interested in applying their expertise to sustainability reporting, particularly greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions measurement and analysis. While the role supports both ESG and statutory reporting, the immediate focus will be on sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, legal, sustainability, and audit teams to support reporting processes, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Sustainability (ESG) Reporting - Support the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data, with a focus on GHG emissions measurement - Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate ESG data reporting and compliance with evolving regulatory standards - Assist in preparing annual sustainability disclosures and reports - Collaborate with legal, sustainability, and risk teams to align ESG reporting processes and controls - Coordinate with external auditors to support ESG data assurance and documentation - Identify opportunities to improve ESG data collection, measurement, and reporting processe Statutory Reporting & Process Improvement - Support statutory reporting activities across multiple global entities - Assist with reviewing financial statements, audit documentation, and reporting deliverables - Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within reporting workflows - Partner with IT and finance teams to enhance integration between reporting tools and ERP systems - Support the use and optimization of reporting platforms such as Workiva Analysis & Compliance - Analyze financial and operational data to determine inclusion in ESG metrics and disclosures - Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) - Assist with internal reviews, documentation, and audit readiness efforts Qualifications Required - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Science, or a related field - 5–7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, auditing, or sustainability reporting - Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial data flows - Hands-on experience working with financial data (e.g., journal entries, close processes, reconciliations) - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, lookups) - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail - Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders such as legal, audit, and finance teams Preferred - Experience with ESG or sustainability reporting, particularly GHG emissions measurement - Familiarity with ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Protocol) - Experience working with Workiva or similar reporting tools - Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) - Experience driving process improvements, automation, or efficiency initiatives - CPA, CA, or similar certification (flexible for candidates with strong ESG experience) Key Details - Start Date: May 2026 - Duration: 12-month contract - Location: Remote (United States) - Time Zone: EST preferred (flexibility required for global collaboration) - Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) - Pay Rate: $40-$53/hour
