Our team develops internal tools used by the security services group to keep our customers safe and well-informed. This journey-level position requires you to be a fully qualified and experienced professional.

- Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Mentoring new and junior team members.
- Integrating software components into a complete, functional software system; documenting and maintaining software functionality.
- Executing assigned and self-initiated tasks while seeking and accepting mentorship.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of the product and how Security Services delivers its solutions.
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge and deep understanding of your specialized area, including the principles and practices relevant to your professional discipline.
- Evaluating unusual situations and employing advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify root causes.
- Addressing and resolving a wide variety of issues creatively, suggesting alternative approaches as needed.
- Handling problems with diverse scope that require analysis of identifiable factors, and developing solutions based on limited information and precedent by adapting existing methods.
- Using evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to determine the appropriate course of action, working independently with critical reviews at key stages.
- We foster a culture of collaboration where every team has opportunities to present their work to the entire department during our monthly R&D Demo sessions.
- Additionally, we host an annual department-wide Hackathon where R&D teams collaborate over four days to create innovative projects beyond regular assignments.
- While innovation is the primary goal, some ideas from these events are integrated into our products.
- About You
- You are an experienced software developer with at least 3+ years of experience, capable of delivering solutions with minimal or no supervision.
- You work comfortably and independently on larger, high-impact features, possess extensive knowledge of software development best practices, and demonstrate expertise in writing and debugging code.
- You efficiently perform complex programming tasks and implement software systems.
- Highly collaborative by nature, you provide mentorship to junior developers.
- You have experience working closely within a global team composed of professionals from diverse cultures and backgrounds, contributing to a unified team with a strong sense of purpose.

OVERVIEW The ECM Developer is a highly skilled software engineer supporting an ECM platform built on IBM FileNet P8 and Business Automation Workflow (BAW 24.x). A migration to IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) on Red Hat OpenShift 4.x on AWS (ROSA) is planned.
