Description Job Description The Atlassian SME is a systems architect position that will be working with a high-end Digital Engineering Solutions technical team. The Atlassian SME will draw on their experience as an engineer to help the team configure Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management to provide customized, unique solutions for our Space Systems Command customer. This position will be responsible for building custom Jira workflows and custom Confluence dashboards to capture and display data. You will work with the customer to elicit requirements and workflows and turn those into automated and semi-automated processes in Jira. You will use Jira Service Management to manage workflows and asset management. The Atlassian SME must have an expert understanding of Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. You should be a skilled user of the Microsoft Office suite with special focus on MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. In this position you will work closely with highly technical operations and maintenance personnel and will decipher requirements based on their input. You will use coding skills such as JQL, SQL, and HTML to build custom products. Experience building Atlassian plug-ins/applications is a plus. The ability to work with Java and Java Script will be helpful. A background in the DoD, especially acquisition, is highly desired. The Atlassian SME will require excellent interpersonal skills to work with team members, work through varying opinions on the way to create complex workflows and dashboards and support the iterative evolution of products. Responsibilities: • Extensive knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence products • Experience customizing workflows, setting up dashboards, and generating reports or full stack developer experience • Advanced SQL and JQL query experience • 5+ years’ experience in setting up and supporting Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) • Strong experience in automating and extending base Jira/Confluence functionality, including scripting • 5+ years’ experience using/extending REST API for Jira and Confluence • 5+ years’ experience using Git and branching models or other source control repositories • Familiar with SAFe, Agile, and other JIRA methodologies to help advise the customer on how to adhere to best practices to ensure quality of service • Front end development using JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Restful APIs, and Java. • 5+ years of experience interacting with clients • Experience in a System Program Office (SPO) or Program Management Office (PMO) assigned with delivering hardware and/or software products for DoD operators (space systems preferred but other SPO/PMO experience may be considered) This includes full lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) acquisition support with conducting market research, assisting in the development of acquisition strategies, preparing solicitation documentation for both pre- and post-award stages, and reviewing proposals for compliance.
