Adjunct Faculty – Virtual Job Ready Instructor

This is a remote contract position AAPC is seeking certified adjunct instructors to facilitate our CPB and CPC Job Ready courses. At AAPC we help take our students from the start of their careers to the peak, by unlocking their potential. The Job Ready program guides students through the most difficult certification exam concepts while preparing them for the workforce. Classes are held twice a week from 7p-9p ET or 9p-11p ET. Top applicants will be subject matter experts who are technologically driven, motivated, meticulous, and have experience teaching in a physical classroom or virtual environment. Job duties: - Facilitate online curriculum by conducting weekly lectures and lab (Practicode®) - Utilize digital course materials and electronic code books in lessons - Hold weekly office hour after lab sessions - Monitor and measure student participation, attendance, and completion of assignments and assessments - Record attendance - Respond to student queries within 48 business hours - Adhere to all Instructor policies and procedures - Attend faculty meetings and contribute to process improvement efforts Qualifications: - AAPC Instructor credential (CPC-I) and the CPC and/or CPB credential - Minimum 3 years healthcare business experience - Minimum 2 years teaching experience (online experience preferred) - Strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills - Advanced technological skills - Ability to effectively demonstrate how to solve billing and coding cases AAPC Values: DRIVEN | Self-starts and stays highly motivated to achieve ambitious goals. This Accountant 2 position is eligible for remote work with the potential occasional onsite work. Duties include: - Analyze accounting transactions and information to summarize current financial position at the unit or organization-wide level. Construct and assemble data for decision making; develop conclusions, and present high level summary of recommendations. - Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions and reporting. Oversee, reconcile, and resolve problems relative to complicated accounts. - Collect data and perform research on details of transactions. Generate, review, analyze and communicate financial data that reflects actual financial performance against approved budgets.
