Role Description This position will involve image and data analysis, including the use and development of multimodal machine learning tools and algorithms. Qualifications - Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in a Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours). - Experience with computational experiments. - Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral formats. - Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with biologists. - Ability to perform data management and analysis of research findings, including use of spreadsheets and basic word processing. - Ability to prioritize work demands, and coordinate research protocols with other staff. - Organizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job duties. - High level of self-motivation and integrity. - Creative, thinks outside-the-box, in developing fit-for-purpose solutions for data needs. Requirements - Courses in image/data analysis, machine learning (ML); fluency in computer packages such as Python and ImageJ, and ML packages such as PyTorch. - Work in cleaning up, organizing, and analyzing large data sets from scientific or computational experiments. - Ability to organize and analyze large scale datasets in Excel, image, or mixed formats. - Competency in implementing algorithms for training ML prediction models using image or text data.
