We offer a variety of benefits including: - Medical; Dental; Vision - 401k with a match - Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays - Tuition Reimbursement - Company paid benefits – life; and short and long-term disability The Program Support Coordinator (PSC) ensures the timely and accurate handling of the program’s prescription fulfillment process including, but not limited to, all pharmacy/prescription billing aspects; managing the timeline for the prior authorizations process; assisting patients with the activation procedures for savings cards; and thoroughly serving all other patient needs while providing exceptional service. Major Responsibilities for the Program Support Coordinator include: - Receives and coordinates all program referrals and performs the following activities (but not limited to): savings card activations; insurance verification; test claims, prescription billing and billing error resolution; prior authorization assistance; customer service. - Serves as primary contact for receiving phone calls from patients and physicians. - Responsible for identifying and forwarding phone calls that are clinical in nature (e.g., dosing directions, adverse events, counseling, etc.) to Staff Pharmacists. - Documents and meticulously makes notations in each patient’s profile regarding every update and aspect of patients’ care or physicians’ needs. - Maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality - Uses discretion and independent judgment in handling customer complaints received, while documenting and forwarding to appropriate team members. - Ensures that all prescriptions are billed in accordance with Medicare/DMEPOS, federal, state, and local regulations and laws. - Communicates with Department Supervisor and/or Program Director on noteworthy program updates or obstacles. - Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas: verbal/written communication, computer/data entry/software proficiency, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, self-discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Qualifications for the Program Support Coordinator include: Education/Learning Experience ✓Required: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience ✓Desired: Pharmacy Technician Certification; equivalent program from a two-year college or technical school, or certificate program in pharmacy and/or healthcare field Work Experience ✓Required: 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience ✓Desired: Retail pharmacy experience Skills/Knowledge ✓Required: Customer Service ✓Desired: : Familiar with general pharmacy terminology, billing quantity, SIG codes, brand and generic names of medication. Proficient in data entry, verbal skills, computer skills and the ability to learn department’s software system. Licenses/Certifications ✓Required: Registration/Certification with Board of Pharmacy as required by law ✓Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
