About the Role We are seeking a switchgear application engineer to oversee the procurement of switchgear for turn-key and procurement only electrical projects. This role combines technical expertise in LV electrical distribution equipment with strong project management in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with engineering, project managers, construction managers, and customers to ensure accurate BOMs, seamless delivery, and successful project execution for end‑of‑life replacement programs. Location - On site preferred – Cumming, GA - Remote acceptable Travel Requirements - 1 – 2 times per month for site visits to confirm BOM and installation requirements Key Responsibilities - Lead procurement scope of work for turnkey projects and electrical upgrades - Configure and quote switchgear packages (interior and exterior) based on 60%, 90%, and 100% engineering drawings - Develop and finalize Bills of Material (BOM) and submittals to support sales, estimating, and engineering teams - Provide technical expertise on LV switchgear design, site plans, and design implications for project profitability - Conduct site walks to validate BOMs and plan procurement and construction strategies - Lead procurement take‑off meetings, order equipment, and manage operational dates in construction/project management software - Communicate project status updates to accounting, operations, and customers - Manage equipment delivery schedules, support change orders, and provide post‑delivery support - Collaborate with installation teams to resolve on‑site technical questions and procure punch‑list items Required Qualifications - Strong knowledge of LV electrical distribution equipment (panelboards, switchboards, dry‑type transformers, ECBs, fused disconnects, etc.) - Proficiency with OEM configuration tools (Empower, BidMan, Compass SE Advantage) - Experience with project management and warehouse management systems (WMS) software - Ability to travel as needed - Ability to work in a team - Exceptional communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Expertise in Square D equipment - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field - Hands‑on installation experience and background working with electrical contractors - Electrical certifications (Journeyman, Master Electrician, NETA, etc.) - EC/GC License Why Join Us This is a unique opportunity to combine technical switchgear expertise with project management skills in a role that directly impacts the success of critical electrical infrastructure projects. About ABM

• Coach, mentor, and train Daikin’s service and solutions sales force to use consultative selling techniques that drive growth and total solutions value to the customer in service and repair, complex turnkey, building automation, and energy solution projects • Assists in development of strategic business plan to meet regional sales quota, including closing measures, timelines, and necessary resources to achieve plan • Assists in development and implementation of sales strategies to target, qualify, and secure prospects for new energy efficient HVAC systems and turnkey installations for building owners • Identifies financially viable business opportunities and execute sales strategies to win Integrated Service Solutions • Prepares and communicates pipeline reports, sales activity, and business plans to achieve sales goals • Partners with controls and energy engineering groups to analyze and evaluate operating costs for qualified potential opportunities • Assists with onsite due diligence or building surveys as required for qualified service solution opportunities to further qualify or gather data required for the sales process • Coordinates the development interface with project management and operations team to assure customer satisfaction • Identify, participate, and drive the Daikin brand at regional marketing events such as trade shows and networking events • Work closely with marketing to leverage resources and seek additional participation such as speaker events and publishing opportunities • Strong collaboration with other business and functional leaders within Daikin including Regional and District Managers, Sales and Application Engineers, Energy Engineers, and Project Managers • Maintains rapport and partnerships with internal and external business partners, including Subcontractors, Manufacturer’s Reps, Equipment Sales Manager, National Accounts team, to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved • Creates customer value propositions for Daikin Applied services with energy saving calculations, financial paybacks, financing options, maintenance savings, etc. • Participates in risk mitigation process and pre-proposal project reviews • Promote Daikin Applied as a Green and Environmentally Responsible Manufacturer
