Job Description

Regional Solution Sales Application Engineer – IV

Daikin Applied Americas

• Coach, mentor, and train Daikin’s service and solutions sales force to use consultative selling techniques that drive growth and total solutions value to the customer in service and repair, complex turnkey, building automation, and energy solution projects • Assists in development of strategic business plan to meet regional sales quota, including closing measures, timelines, and necessary resources to achieve plan • Assists in development and implementation of sales strategies to target, qualify, and secure prospects for new energy efficient HVAC systems and turnkey installations for building owners • Identifies financially viable business opportunities and execute sales strategies to win Integrated Service Solutions • Prepares and communicates pipeline reports, sales activity, and business plans to achieve sales goals • Partners with controls and energy engineering groups to analyze and evaluate operating costs for qualified potential opportunities • Assists with onsite due diligence or building surveys as required for qualified service solution opportunities to further qualify or gather data required for the sales process • Coordinates the development interface with project management and operations team to assure customer satisfaction • Identify, participate, and drive the Daikin brand at regional marketing events such as trade shows and networking events • Work closely with marketing to leverage resources and seek additional participation such as speaker events and publishing opportunities • Strong collaboration with other business and functional leaders within Daikin including Regional and District Managers, Sales and Application Engineers, Energy Engineers, and Project Managers • Maintains rapport and partnerships with internal and external business partners, including Subcontractors, Manufacturer’s Reps, Equipment Sales Manager, National Accounts team, to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved • Creates customer value propositions for Daikin Applied services with energy saving calculations, financial paybacks, financing options, maintenance savings, etc. • Participates in risk mitigation process and pre-proposal project reviews • Promote Daikin Applied as a Green and Environmentally Responsible Manufacturer

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 6-8 years of experience in commercial HVAC, energy, or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of procurement methods, contracting options, providing our customers with customized solutions to assist in closing sales
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara based or similar Open Protocol Systems and Building Automation System Architecture (Preferred)
  • Facility Management experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
