ABOUT THE ROLE The Associate Manager, Category & Shopper Leadership is a highly visible, analytics‑driven role where insights turn into action and influence real growth. This position sits at the intersection of shopper behavior, category strategy, and customer execution—shaping how brands show up on the shelf and connect with shoppers. Leveraging deep shopper and category insights, you’ll identify growth opportunities across assortment, pricing, shelving, promotion, and merchandising, serving as a trusted category advisor across multiple businesses. Partnering closely with both internal teams—including Sales, Brand, Customer Marketing, and Insights—and external customers and merchandising partners, you’ll help translate data into compelling, actionable strategies that drive value for customers, categories, and the company. This role is Salaried_J KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Create and plan category leadership initiatives that deliver profitable sales growth for the Customer and SCJ. These solutions should include shopper and category insights across: products/assortment (everyday/ new products/ promoted/ seasonal), placement and everyday shelving and merchandising, pricing (everyday, seasonal, and promotional), promotions and seasonal merchandising - Influence the Customer and SCJ by identifying specific opportunities, assist with any research and lead project to deliver category and shopper leadership solutions - Leads the Customer category review process through full partnership with the Customer advisor team, by providing actionable category and shopper insights that support category leadership objectives for retailer - Execute agreed category leadership initiatives with the Customer to include success measures and detailed follow through - Evaluate/ monitor all customer category leadership initiatives, turning analyses into actions, continually improving effectiveness and efficiencies with the Customer - Leverage insights and resources through the utilization of a broad range of data sources, market research findings, tools, analyses, and technology to continually bring thought leadership to all internal and external customers REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING - Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant business experience OR advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant business experience - Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS - Experience in Category Management or Sales strongly suggested - 1 year of business analytics experience - Experience working with syndicated data software IRI/Nielsen and JDA and advanced analytics around promotional / non-promotional and pricing strategy - Mobility preferred for career growth - Background in CPG and/or retail - Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint JOB REQUIREMENTS - This role is eligible for domestic relocation - Full time field / home-based role, Tennessee field - 10% travel BENEFITS AND PERKS SC Johnson’s total compensation packages are at or above industry levels.
