Ameresco is actively seeking a talented Senior Account Executive in North Carolina or South Carolina to strategically drive sales of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and advanced technology solutions across multiple market sectors. The successful candidate will be able to build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, propose, win, negotiate and secure contracts, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Responsibilities: - Possess comprehensive knowledge of energy, renewable, and advanced-technology markets, their trends, and emerging issues to enable thorough discovery and a clear understanding of customers’ primary business objectives and requirements. - Cultivate effective business relationships and communicate the full scope of Ameresco solutions and services to meet customer energy savings requirements. - Drive winning proposal strategy, contribute to written proposal content, and prepare and present solutions to customers. - Target and contact key decision-makers and develop positive relationships to secure new projects opportunities, sales volume, and market share. - Monitor account plan progress, including market conditions, customers’ needs, competitive activity, and provide progress and execution updates through expert use of corporate CRM. - Work together with technical and development teams to ensure achievement of customer satisfaction. - Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years (or equivalent) of progressive experience in complex energy-efficiency, renewable-technology, and performance-contracting solutions within energy services or related field (such as construction or similar industry). Additional Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of related sales experience in lieu of degree. - 2 years progressive experience in the sale of complex energy efficiency, renewable generation, and advanced technology solutions within energy services and target markets. - Active progress toward industry-related or advanced education is preferred. - Ability to identify customer energy needs, effectively communicate energy solutions, and position Ameresco as the provider of choice. - Proven track record of securing sales of complex offerings from top-level management. - Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation skills, including effective negotiation and closing techniques. - Excellent verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills. - Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships. - Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by the resident state required. - Travel required. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $101,000–$147,000 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role. Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
