It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Scrum Master who will be a key driver to make this happen. We are seeking an energetic Senior Scrum Master with Agile SAFe experience to facilitate and guide teams to deliver high-quality products that meets user needs. You will interface with Product Owners and RTE/Delivery leads to ensure SAFe methodologies are followed for project execution. You will be working on a mission critical software program whose goal is to consolidate, modernize, and enhance a suite of applications that supports Medicaid. Responsibilities: - Apply Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and work closely with the release train engineer (RTE), product owner, scrum team, and other stakeholders such as product end users - Guide teams to deliver high-quality products, improve team efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Work with teams to identify and remove impediments that may hinder their progress - Track and monitor team performance metrics, such as velocity, burn-down charts, to ensure optimal productivity. - Provider regular reports on team performance, risks, successes and failures to the program leadership team - Facilitate PI planning events and working session meetings to discuss scope, schedule and requirements with product owners - Help the Product Owner with prioritization, risk management, and scope - Manage product quality, releases, and delivery - Manage lightweight, living planning documents, like an Agile Product Roadmap - Conduct all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, daily Scrum Meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree - Minimum of six (6) years experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Product Manager for a software development team. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance - Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US - Must have lived in the US 3 full years out of the last 5 years Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field - Master’s degree preferred - Hands-on experience leading multiple Scrum teams in a variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc) - Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM) preferred - Knowledge of other Agile methodologies like Kanban - Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery , Automated Testing - Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the Atlassian suite - Experience using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement - Knowledge of Human Centered Design approach for developing digital services Professional Skills: - Hands-on experience leading multiple Scrum teams in a variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc) - Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM) preferred - Knowledge of other Agile methodologies like Kanban - Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery , Automated Testing - Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the Atlassian suite - Experience using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement - Knowledge of Human Centered Design approach for developing digital services - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Highly skilled in team facilitation, conflict resolution, implementing best practices, team empowerment and creating a culture of transparency Job Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States.
