Duties and Responsibilities - Perform underwater installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of various structures and equipment - Utilize diving gear and other provided tools effectively, ensuring all operations adhere to safety protocols - Work closely with other dive team members to plan diving operations in accordance with project demands - Ensure clear communication with dive team and surface personnel during all dive operations - Operate sonar equipment and other electronic devices for underwater detection and navigation - Conduct pre and post-dive checks of all equipment and gear - Report the status of the projects to superiors, documenting all tasks completed and any anomalies encountered - Stay updated with the latest diving techniques, technology, and safety protocols - Engage in salvage operations using the proper techniques and tools - Attend regular training sessions and certification programs to maintain and enhance diving skills - Assist in the research and evaluation of job locations, potential hazards, and project requirements Requirements - Proven experience and proficiency as a Commercial Diver - Valid Driver’s License - Current TWIC card (front & back) - Valid Passport - Active IMCA/DCBC/ADCI Card - Graduate of an ADCI/ADCE Approved Dive School - Rigging certification as per API RP 2D 7th edition (8hr course or 2day course) - First Aid, CPR, and O2 Administration Certification - Safe Gulf, PEC, or RIG PASS Certification - Water Survival, T-HUET, BOSIET, or FOET Certification - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in relevant field will be advantageous - Ability to work effectively in teams and independently - Physical fitness and comfort working in various weather and underwater conditions

This role is a key component of our maritime operations and offers an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates seeking a dynamic and rewarding career in the marine sector. This is a contract/temporary position that allows for full remote work, enabling flexibility and convenience for the right candidate. The 1600 Ton Master Mate plays a critical role in our operations, tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient handling of our vessels. As a leader and a pivotal member of the maritime team, the ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of nautical protocols along with proven experience in navigation and vessel management. - Navigate and operate vessels up to 1600 gross tons. - Plan routes, monitor weather conditions, and ensure safe navigation at all times. - Supervise docking, undocking, and towing operations to guarantee they are conducted safely and efficiently. - Maintain detailed logs of all vessel operations, including navigation charts and vessel equipment status. - Coordinate with marine engineers to manage and resolve any mechanical issues onboard. - Carry out regular inspections of deck equipment, lines, and winches to maintain operational standards and safety. - Report any maintenance needs and operational anomalies directly to management, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption. Qualifications - Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with appropriate endorsements for a 1600-Ton Master or Mate. - Current USCG Medical Certificate, ensuring medical fitness for duty at sea. - Water Survival certification must include T-HUET, BOSIET, or FOET to ensure preparedness for offshore emergencies. - Rigging certification that complies with the API-RP-2D standard, confirming skills in safe rigging practices. - Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) for access to secure maritime facilities. - Training certifications such as Safegulf, PEC, or Rig Pass, which are crucial for safety compliance in the industry. - Proven ability to operate and handle vessels of up to 1600 gross tons coupled with thorough knowledge of maritime law and regulations. - Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and train a seafaring crew effectively. - Excellent communication skills, capable of maintaining clear lines of communication both onboard and with onshore facilities. - Capability to manage stress and make critical decisions in high-pressure environments.
