Reporting Analyst
Holman
• Use practical statistical techniques and logical reasoning to correctly design metrics and integrate multi-source data. • Apply an understanding of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources and different schemas to access and troubleshoot varied data sources. • Perform 'data sleuthing' to find what data is available and determine if ideas brought forward by user groups are technically feasible. • Write SQL data queries and learn advancing techniques on the job. • Use Tableau Creator, Power BI, Business Objects Web Intelligence (Bi4), SQL, DAX, and other tools to produce advanced reports, interactive dashboards, calculations, and projections for other analysts, internal business users, and occasionally self-serve clients. • Apply an understanding of business operations and asset/fleet management to design interactive content that will be meaningful to the relevant user groups. • Perform intense quality assurance checks on your own work and the work of your teammates. • Identify, understand and document data issues in Holman databases when they arise in project work. • Identify and collaborate with subject matter experts and resources for cross-department projects such as driver safety dashboards and Holman supply chain logistics automated reports. • Lead and collaborate on several high-visibility projects simultaneously. • Use advanced analytic and quantitative tools, modeling techniques, and data mining procedures as needed. • Apply visual and user interface best practices, accessibility standards, Holman branding, and in-tool help guides to all dashboards and reporting tools. • Develop communication that clearly describes tools and methodologies to promote understanding among user groups. • Partner with training lead, Holman U, and others on user training content for your projects. • Seek opportunities for innovations and enhancements to existing processes and tools to benefit clients and critical stakeholders. • Respond to urgent requests for internal data related to RFPs, HSO strategy projects, and other urgent business needs. • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree required
- Preferably in the field of Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business degrees with an analytics component
- Ability to write SQL queries
- Knowledge of relational databases, schemas, and types of data
- Proficient use of at least one of the following: Tableau, PowerBI
- Advanced Excel proficiency or Microsoft certified expert
- Valid Passport - Some travel may be required in Canada or US (up to 5%)
- 2-4 years’ experience creating dashboards and KPIs for business users
- 2-4 years’ experience applying an understanding of basic descriptive statistics and financial data standards to dashboards or analytical models
- Minimum 1 year experience discussing and documenting scope/technical requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience applying design and user interface best practices to interactive dashboards.
- Minimum 1 year non-school experience in performing data analysis, financial calculations, and projections
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Advanced proficiency in Business Objects, creating reports for other users
- Strong proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI creating content from scratch using database connections
- 3+ years’ experience in a professional environment
- 2+ years’ experience working with real-world data
- Familiarity with Automotive/Fleet data preferred

Role Description ViaPath is seeking an Intelligence Associate Analyst to join our team working with our clients. The responsibility of the Intelligence Associate Analyst will be to provide direct support to the customer staff. While in this critical position, you will have the opportunity to utilize your training and experience to assist Corrections Investigations staff in the development of actionable intelligence within the facilities or approved outside law enforcement agencies within established time frames. The selected candidate will be team oriented, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent communication skills. Position is a remote based position based in the Columbus, OH area with a requirement to travel to client site as needed. - Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest - Assist facility with investigations by utilizing specialized software provided for data mining and link analysis - Monitor offender telephone calls - Establish a fundamental understanding of the facility’s operation to include policies and procedures, and data sources available for analysis - Prepares analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for proper responses to intelligence gathered - Proactively develop intelligence to assist in accomplishing facility objectives and mission - Submit detailed reports to facility regarding intelligence findings - Submit regular reports to superiors outlining level of support and benefit to facility - Provide guidance and training to facility staff - Fulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized and requested - Participation in court or other administrative related hearings Qualifications - A Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
