Join our exciting sales development team Our Team partners with the Field and Inside Sales organization to guide the early stages of the sales cycle. We assist with new customer acquisition. We work with other teams to follow-up on campaigns and events to increase pipeline and generate demand for new opportunities. Partner with the best As a Sales Development Representative, you will identify and qualify enterprise account sales leads and opportunities. You will focus on analyzing business needs by conducting information-gathering. This includes pre-qualifying opportunities through phone, social and email contact. You will be generating outbound qualified leads for regional or international sales teams As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for: - Managing inbound lead flow. Including executing outbound prospecting initiatives - Meeting or exceeding SDR sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) volume targets - Collaborating with teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging; developing opportunities using predictive tools - Utilizing industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create compelling events, and develop accounts - Working to have a variety of touches (call, email, social, etc.) on leads in your territory to ensure KPI attainment - Managing, tracking, reporting on all activities and results Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: - Have a bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant sales experience in lead generation - Have demonstrated experience of selling within the sales cycle - Have experience identifying business needs through information-gathering to pre-qualify opportunities - Be comfortable speaking with decision makers via various mediums (social, email, phone and video) - Have positive and engaging phone skills, excellent listening and writing skills - Have tech industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing or sales - Have Outbound prospecting experience Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $67,500 - $121,500/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
