• Monitor state Medicaid fee schedules, rate updates, public meeting calendars, and program requirements across U.S. Medicaid programs to identify changes that may affect reimbursement and operational execution, including researching and compiling reimbursement requirements needed to support implementation when new coverage becomes effective • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on state-specific Medicaid reimbursement requirements, including EPSDT processes, documentation expectations, and prior authorization and claim submission considerations • Partner closely with Medicaid Policy Directors in Market Access on submission of policy change requests and issue escalation within the Medicaid agencies, helping prepare materials and uncover state-specific processes • Support Regional Market Access Directors by synthesizing data, research, and supporting resources to inform targeted reimbursement and contracting strategies for high-priority out-of-network payors • Maintain centralized tracking of Medicaid reimbursement issues, payment variances, policy questions, and escalation needs, including status updates, owners, and next steps • Translate state Medicaid policy and reimbursement requirements into clear, actionable guidance for the Revenue Cycle Team to support accurate and consistent execution • Analyze claims data, denial trends, payment variances, and prior authorization outcomes to identify root causes, surface reimbursement insights, and recommend data-informed process improvements for Market Access and Revenue Cycle partners • Develop and maintain state- and payor-specific standard operating procedures, reference materials, and workflows to improve consistency and reduce rework • Synthesize reimbursement insights and operational trends into recommendations for Market Access leadership to inform prioritization, escalation, and strategic decision-making

• Serve as a senior subject matter expert across Epic AURA components—inclusive of Orders, Bridges, Ambulatory, and Beaker • Oversee and guide analyst build efforts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with downstream systems and project requirements • Lead integrated testing across internal GeneDx systems; coordinate validation and troubleshooting with Engineering, LIMS, and Implementation teams • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to track and prioritize optimization requests, enhancements, and build changes • Review and document system workflows and data flow dependencies to ensure alignment across Epic and internal systems • Act as a liaison between analysts, management, and downstream technical teams to ensure clear communication, visibility, and accountability for project milestones • Mentor and train analysts by providing build guidance, documentation standards, and best practices for testing and optimization • Support post-go-live production stability through proactive monitoring, issue triage, and continuous improvement initiatives • Maintain and enhance internal documentation (Confluence, Jira, or equivalent) for build tracking, test cases, and optimization roadmaps

• Lead and manage the claims process for diagnostic laboratory services from claim submission through final resolution, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement. • Oversee the review and resolution of denied, pending, and aging claims, ensuring thorough investigation and appropriate corrective action. • Ensure claims are submitted and managed in accordance with payer requirements, billing guidelines, and regulatory standards. • Partner with internal teams and external billing vendors to resolve complex claim issues and improve reimbursement outcomes. • Monitor claims inventory, accounts receivable performance, and operational metrics to ensure service level expectations are achieved. • Lead, coach, and develop the Claims team, setting clear performance expectations and driving accountability for productivity, quality, and reimbursement results. • Analyze claims and denial trends, identify root causes, and implement process improvements to reduce preventable denials and enhance claim performance. • Communicate effectively with payers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, provide updates, and support organizational objectives. • Prepare regular reports on claims activities, operational performance, reimbursement trends, and team productivity for leadership. • Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements related to claims workflows and billing operations and oversee ongoing support and maintenance activities. • Develop and maintain claims-related policies, procedures, training materials, and operational best practices. • The job may have added responsibilities as assigned.
