Job Description​ We are seeking a Data Quality Specialist to join our team! This is a remote position that is responsible for monthly random and focused audits of our inpatient coders. You will be conducting audits, collaborating with senior auditors on denials/claim edits, and educating coders (e.g. monthly newsletter contributions, monthly roundtable webinars, coder meetings, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospital-based inpatient coding, be a strong communicator (both verbal and written), and be a strong team player. Reviews ICD-10-CM/PCS, and DRG to provide feedback and education to the inpatient coding team. Identify coding trends, compile coding quality data and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and policies. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. CCS, RHIT or RHIA required.
