About this role: The Network Operations team is looking for a seasoned Network Operations engineer to help actualize the SRE vision for our client's network infrastructure. What we need to see: ● Educational Background: BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. ● Professional Experience: Minimum of 6 years of industry experience in wireless site reliability engineering, wireless network operations, or related areas. Solid grasp of underlying network and security components leveraged in a wireless network. ● Network Engineering Depth: Knowledgeable and ready to work on networks implementing EVPN, VRFs, and similar technologies. ● Network Fundamentals: Expertise in general network technologies such as TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, VLANs, L2 switching. Proven track record in network operations. ● Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with network management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox ● Service Tooling: Skills with ServiceNow and Jira ● Problem-Solving and Communication: Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. Ways to stand out: ● Support Automation: Track record of taking operational signals through means such as SNMP, Syslog, synthetics to solve operational challenges. Background in building and/or leveraging synthetics such as Kentik, ThousandEyes, UXI, Signal7, Wyebot, or others to measure network availability and user experience. ● Programming and Scripting Skills: Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Go. Ability to debug and optimize code; automate routine tasks. ● System Administration: Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals is a plus. ● Wireless Experience: Knowledge in wireless technologies such as 802.11ac, 802.11ax, surrounding technologies such as WPA, Radius, EAP, 802.1X, or other controller-based WLAN technologies ● Platform Exposure: Experience with Mellanox/Cumulus Linux, Palo Alto firewalls ● Platform Exposure: Mist Wireless, Cisco Wireless ● Security Awareness: Experience with security components such as ISE ● Network Automation: Expertise in automating networks using frameworks such as Salt, Ansible, or similar. ● Previous Network Operations experience.

• Optimize inference performance across the Akamai Inference Cloud • Collaborate closely with hardware performance engineers to deliver end-to-end optimization • Apply and evaluate quantization, distillation, and pruning techniques to optimize model performance while preserving accuracy • Design hardware-aware model placement and scheduling strategies to match models with optimal compute resources • Implement and tune speculative decoding, KV-cache optimization, and batching strategies to improve inference throughput and latency • Build benchmarking and profiling pipelines to measure model-layer performance across architectures, hardware, and serving configurations • Mentor and guide engineers on the team through code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving • Collaborate with hardware performance engineers to identify and resolve end-to-end performance bottlenecks across the inference stack

This role is ideal for someone who is deeply technical, naturally curious, and skilled at finding how software can fail before customers do. You will play a key role in strengthening product quality through hands-on testing, automation, and AI-enabled quality engineering practices.
