Job Description

Human Resources Intern

Center for Internet Security

• Coordinate interviews and support recruiting by managing schedules and communicating with candidates and hiring managers • Support the recruitment team with the administration of job requisitions and providing recruitment updates to our tracking system • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding • Answer and manage HR tickets, ensuring timely, accurate support and escalation when needed • Help prepare HR reports and track key metrics • Assist with the administration and coordination of employee programs • Learn various HR functions and get hands on experience in administrating processes • Gain understanding of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other electronic platforms • Conduct research on relevant HR topics and areas and update the team on findings • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of study in Human Resources or Business Management
  • Strong administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor with focus on customer service
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

There is room for role expansion to support other HR technology systems.- Some of What You'll Do Scope of the Role: - Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role and has no direct reports. Key Responsibilities: - Support areas of Workday, such as Compensation and Time/Attendance - Support contact for the Workday user community by trouble shooting problems, answering questions ensuring queries are addressed in a timely manner with excellent customer service - Collaborate with Workday Community to resolve issues found within Workday and proactively remain informed about Workday enhancements - Create documentation for new processes and update existing documentation based on enhancements made to existing processes - Perform administrative functions including security maintenance, business process configuration, data loads, password resets, etc. for Workday and other HR platforms - Assist with twice a year mandatory system enhancement release, including regression testing and identifying process improvements - Regularly perform data audits and validations, and follow up with appropriate teams for corrections - Collaborate with HR and functional stakeholders to build reporting (including calculated fields, all report types) Experience, Education and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree: human resources preferred or related field - 3+ years of back-end experience on the Workday platform with experience in Workday Compensation and Time/Attendance strongly preferred - Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Human Resources work experience - Excellent customer service skills, able to collaborate with a wide variety of people Additional Requirements: - Knowledge of Workday Compensation and Time/Attendance - Capable of writing/maintaining Custom Reports; Experience with creating calculated fields - Comprehension of Workday Security - Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel Outlook, PowerPoint; In Excel, must have ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP's) - Experience with MS SharePoint a plus. - A strong foundation and understanding of key HR practices and issues - Detail oriented and organized, with high degree of accuracy - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality - Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks with tight deadlines - Ability to work both independently and as a team player - Strong problem-solving skills - Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written - Able to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment - Why You Should Join Us Join us as we write a new chapter, guided by world-class leadership.
