Full TimeRemoteTeam 51-200Since 2018H1B No Sponsor

PriceShape already has data engineers that are building and maintaining the infrastructure behind our customer-facing platform. This role is something else. We are looking for our first Senior Data Engineer dedicated to internal and operational data: the systems, pipelines, and models that tell us how our business is performing. Right now, our operational data lives across disconnected systems, product usage in our production database, customer relationships in HubSpot, customer success activity in Custify, and billing in Younium. You will own connecting these into a reliable, well-structured foundation that the business can trust and act on. We are building from scratch. The first priority is getting clean, reliable usage data from our production platform flowing into a proper data warehouse. From there, you will progressively build a 360° customer view by integrating our CRM, CS, and billing data, laying the groundwork for deeper insights into retention, expansion, and value delivery. As we scale this function, there is a natural path toward shaping what the internal data team looks like, but right now, the job is to build the foundation right. This role can either be fully remote (provided you are located within ±1–2 hours of the CET time zone) or based at our office in Aarhus, Denmark. What You’ll Be Doing Build and own the data pipeline infrastructure - Design and implement our internal data warehouse from the ground up, architecture, ingestion, and transformation layers - Set up and maintain reliable integrations from our production database (usage data), HubSpot, Custify, and Younium - Define data models that are clean, consistent, and built to scale as we add sources and consumers - Establish standards for data correctness, freshness, and reliability across all internal data flows Ensure data quality, observability, and trust - Own pipeline observability end-to-end, you define what “healthy” looks like and you are the first to know when it isn’t - Implement data testing and validation at the model level, nulls, duplicates, referential integrity, freshness SLAs - Define and enforce data contracts between source systems and the warehouse so downstream consumers can rely on what they pull - Maintain clear documentation of models, lineage, and definitions, so the next hire, and every stakeholder, knows exactly what they are looking at Set the standard - Make architecture decisions that will shape how we handle internal data for years, not just what works today - Document clearly so you can onboard the next hire into the team fast - Challenge assumptions: if a metric looks clean but doesn’t reflect reality, you say so As the foundation matures, there will be room to move into more analytical and insight-oriented work, but the immediate priority is getting the architecture and pipelines solid. What We’re Looking For Must-haves - 3–5+ years of hands-on experience building data warehouses or internal analytics infrastructure, not just maintaining existing pipelines - Strong SQL and data modeling skills; you design schemas you’re proud of - Proven experience architecting integrations across multiple data sources - Hands-on experience with transformation frameworks (dbt or equivalent) - Experience with modern data stack tooling, we use BigQuery as our preferred warehouse, but open to discussing the right solution - Comfortable working independently in a greenfield environment with limited existing structure - Background in B2B SaaS, you understand what usage data and customer health actually mean - Fluency in English Strong plus - Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar) - Commercial instinct, understanding how the data you build connects to retention, expansion, and business decisions - Experience integrating CRM, CS, or billing platforms (HubSpot, Custify, Younium, Stripe, or similar) What We Offer - Greenfield ownership; you design the architecture, set the standards, and build it - Direct access to leadership, RevOps, CS, and Product; your work will be visible and used - A company that already understands data matters, with product engineers on staff you can collaborate with - High autonomy and trust in how you solve problems - Flexibility: on-site in Aarhus or fully remote within ±1–2 hours CET - A fast-growing international environment; 100+ colleagues, 25+ nationalities, customers in 25+ countries About PriceShape PriceShape is an international SaaS company headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark. We’ve developed a price monitoring and comparison platform that helps retailers and brands increase both revenue and profitability through dynamic pricing and competitor tracking. We’re more than 100 colleagues from 25+ nationalities, working from a modern office in Aarhus C – and we’re growing fast in both headcount and market share. Today, we serve customers in 25+ countries and have big ambitions to become the global category leader. We prioritize work-life balance, trust, and personal as well as professional growth. How to apply If this sounds like the right role for you, please send us your CV and application as soon as possible. We review applications on an ongoing basis.
