Countable LabsCountable Labs is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Direct applicants only, no recruiters please.
Role Description We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the commercial narrative for the Countable PCR technology across multiple industries such as academic medical centers, biotech, and pharma, as well across segments such as cell and gene therapy (CGT) and clinical oncology. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of science, strategy, and storytelling. You will work closely with the Director of Commercial Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Business Development to build the messaging, content, and campaign assets that drive awareness and adoption among a technically sophisticated audience. This is an ideal role for someone who has lived inside CGT or clinical oncology workflows—as a researcher, applications scientist, or marketer—and is energized by translating complex biology into compelling commercial strategy. Messaging & Positioning - Position Countable Labs' products and technologies across multiple industries such as academic medical centers, biotech, and pharma. - Develop and maintain segment-specific messaging frameworks for CGT (viral vector QC, gene editing, CAR-T/AAV manufacturing) and clinical oncology (MRD monitoring, liquid biopsy, ctDNA) audiences. - Own competitive positioning against qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS-based approaches; build battlecards and objection-handling tools for the sales team. - Define and evolve value propositions tied to key customer pain points. Content & Campaign Execution - Create high-quality technical content: application notes, white papers, case studies, conference posters, presentations, and peer-reviewed publication support. - Partner with KOLs and external collaborators to develop credible, scientifically grounded thought leadership. - Drive conference strategy and execution for ASGCT, AACR, ESGT, and EHA—from abstract submission through booth messaging and post-event nurture campaigns. - Collaborate on digital campaigns (email, LinkedIn, Google Ads, webinars) targeting CGT and oncology researchers, process development scientists, and QC managers. - Give external-facing presentations including webinars, conference talks, and other customer-facing presentations. Sales Enablement - Collaborate with Product Management to build and maintain a sales enablement library: pitch decks, ROI calculators, application-specific one-pagers, demo scripts, and competitive battlecards. - Support commercial training on product positioning, competitive landscape, and application storytelling. - Partner with the European commercial lead to localize materials for EU regulatory and market contexts. Market Intelligence - Conduct ongoing VOC research with customers, KOLs, and prospects to sharpen positioning and surface new use cases with Product Management. - Track competitive moves, regulatory developments, and clinical adoption patterns in CGT and oncology diagnostics. - Contribute to product roadmap discussions by synthesizing market signals and customer insight. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in life sciences product marketing, with demonstrated success in a technical or scientifically complex segment. - Preference for direct experience in cell and gene therapy, viral vector manufacturing, or clinical oncology (MRD, liquid biopsy, ctDNA)—as a scientist, applications specialist, or marketer. - Deep fluency in nucleic acid quantification technologies (qPCR, ddPCR, NGS); ability to engage credibly with process development scientists and QC managers. - Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into audience-appropriate messaging across the full buyer journey. - Experience independently creating technical content: application notes, white papers, conference materials, and digital assets. - Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with lean resources. - Excellent written and oral communication; strong scientific storyteller with confidence presenting to technical and non-technical audiences. - Comfortable owning external-facing presentations including webinars, conference talks, and customer-facing demos; able to represent the company credibly on stage and in live webinars or other recordings. - Preference for PhD or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field. - Preferred hands-on laboratory experience with PCR-based workflows, gene therapy vector analytics, or CMC development for biologics. - Background in KOL management or scientific advisory relationships. - Comfort with marketing automation (HubSpot or equivalent) and CRM systems. Benefits - For this position, the base pay range is: 150,000-175,000 per year. Company Description Countable Labs is an equal opportunity employer.
