Summary We are looking for a Production Engineer to help us build and scale Placer’s Infrastructure. This person will take an active role in shaping and implementing Placer’s architecture, as well as introduce new technologies, standards and help increase our release pipeline by building the right tools and frameworks for our developers. This person will take the existing architecture and pave the way in pursuing and materializing our vision. Passion is a MUST and passion for data even more so! Responsibilities - Plan and implement tools to help our company succeed - Taking care of our CI/CD tools - Manage our production and multiple development environments - Collaborate with development teams to improve our system infrastructure and stability - Develop effective tooling, dashboards, alerts, and response to identify and address reliability risks - Measure, analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources - Carry tasks end-to-end, from design to deployment, and take full ownership Requirements - 5+ years of experience in a similar position - Experience working with public cloud - 3+ years of production experience with Kubernetes including using open source solutions from the eco-system - 2+ years of experience with "Infrastructure as a code" tools such as Terraform, Pulumi or similar - 2+ years of experience managing Databases and Queues such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar - Skills with at least one of general purpose languages such as Golang, Python, Ruby or Java - Strong skills with a variety of monitoring and alerting tools - Sense of humor, all around team player, fast self-learning individual, problem solver Nice to have: - CKA certification or similar - Strong Kubernetes skills, experience with modern CNIs, volume plugins, security, operators, service meshes, ingresses and K8s ecosystem - Extensive knowledge of RabbitMQ - Experience working with GCP WHY JOIN PLACER.AI? - Join a rocketship! The Production Planning Solution Engineer will be a key member of the in-house “Build” team, focusing on Production Planning processes that are continuous as well as discrete in the CPG industry. This role is responsible for hands-on configuration, implementation, and support of projects and enhancements within our SAP ECC landscape, including integrations with other SAP modules and non-SAP applications.
