The Role Kinetic is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as our primary visual strategist and the bridge between our data and the insights that drive our mission. In this role, you will be the internal expert on translating complex business needs into highly interactive, AI-enhanced Tableau dashboards. You aren’t just a chart builder; you are a visual strategist who moves beyond static filters to design dynamic, self-service exploration tools that make data-driven decision-making effortless for our teams You will own the end-to-end journey of a visualization: from partnering with Actuarial and Insurance Ops teams to define a KPI, to validating data accuracy, to delivering a polished final product in Tableau. While you will work closely with our Engineering team to define what our Analytics Layer should look like, your primary focus is on the front-end excellence and stakeholder partnership that ensures our data is actionable and impactful. What You’ll Do - End-to-End Dashboard Development: Drive the development of influential Tableau dashboards, ensuring clear visibility into Kinetic's key performance indicators (KPIs). - Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary data partner for internal teams, translating complex insurance requirements into technical specs and actionable visual tools. - Data Requirements & Validation: Collaborate with Data Engineering to define the structures needed in our Gold Layer to power dashboards; perform rigorous QA to ensure data integrity across all reports. - Self-Service Development: Drive the development of influential Tableau dashboards that prioritize deep interactivity, allowing stakeholders to explore data through dynamic views rather than just pre-selected static filters. What You’ve Done - Tableau Mastery: 5+ years of experience building complex, high-performance dashboards. - Data Analysis & SQL: Proven ability to query complex datasets using advanced SQL to validate logic and uncover insights. - Requirement Translation: A track record of working directly with business leadership to define KPIs and business logic from scratch in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. - Visual Strategy: Demonstrated success in taking messy business questions and turning them into clean, executive-ready visual stories. Preferred Qualifications - Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Workers' Compensation, Insurance, or FinTech. - Modern Data Stack Familiarity: Experience working with cloud warehouses (S3/Athena) and an understanding of how to structure data to support high-interactivity front-end performance. - AI & Emerging Tech: Specific experience deploying Tableau AI features or similar augmented analytics tools in a production environment.
