We are currently seeking a DoD Solution Cloud Architect to join our team in Herndon (REMOTE), Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). Job Summary: The Senior Cloud & DoD Solutions Architect provides technical leadership for Client Landing Zone (LZ) operations, AWS GovCloud environment configuration, tool deployment, and cloud migration activities. This position ensures continuity for Landing Zone managed services and supports operational stability, security compliance, and ongoing modernization efforts. The role requires strong capability in cloud architecture, with focus areas including identity services, networking, security controls, automation, and integration of new capabilities into Client's evolving cloud footprint. In parallel, the architect directly supports DoD business development efforts. This includes attending customer meetings with BD teams, identifying mission requirements, shaping solution concepts, preparing technical inputs for proposals, and developing architectures aligned with DoD compliance frameworks. The individual will assist in building competitive, compliant, and technically sound solutions that enable growth in the federal market. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to engage in client discussions, and the capacity to translate mission needs into actionable technical designs. The architect will operate as a senior technical advisor for cloud, security, and compliance-related pursuits across the DoD portfolio. Job Duties: - Lead AWS GovCloud Landing Zone operations, including configuration, updates, and governance. - Manage cloud migration planning and execution for Client programs. - Maintain and configure cloud-native and third-party tooling supporting Landing Zone services. - Oversee and potentially operate Landing Zone managed services. - Participate in BD and client meetings to define mission requirements and recommend technical approaches. - Create solution architectures, estimates, and technical proposal content for DoD pursuits. - Ensure solutions align with DoD requirements (CMMC, NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, Zero Trust). - Support orals, technical reviews, and customer deep-dive sessions. - Coordinate with engineering teams and program leadership to deliver scalable cloud solutions. Serve as a senior technical advisor on cloud, networking, IAM, and security architectures. - Provide guidance during orals, technical reviews, and customer deep‑dive sessions. Basic Qualifications: - Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or operations. - Minimum 5 years of experience working with AWS, including AWS GovCloud. - Minimum 3 years supporting DoD programs or federal secure cloud environments. - Certification: AWS Solutions Architect - Associate. - Active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience delivering at least 2 Landing Zone implementations (AWS Control Tower or equivalent). - Experience delivering at least 2 cloud migration projects involving application or infrastructure transition to AWS. - Experience participating in at least 2 proposal cycles or 1 year supporting federal business development. - AWS Solutions Architect - Professional or other specialty certifications. - Experience with Forcepoint, VPN technologies, and DoD cross‑domain or boundary security solutions. - Familiarity with CMMC compliance validation activities. - Strong communication and client‑facing skills, including experience supporting oral presentations. - Proficient in developing technical roadmaps and explaining complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Experience working with multinational teams or coordinating with enterprise engineering groups. - Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities. Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $116,775 - $270,312. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. The Opportunity Our Cloud Release Engineer leads the architecture, design, and deployment of network solutions across our client portfolio.
