The Opportunity This Cloud Engineer will lead architecture and end-to-end delivery of containerized infrastructure and pipelines across AWS (primary) and AKS (secondary), with hands-on ownership of Kubernetes operations and platform engineering. They will drive maturity in IaC-first, no-clickops culture. Key responsibilities - Build/operate EKS (or AKS): cluster provisioning, node groups, upgrades, add-ons (CNI, CSI), autoscaling, RBAC, network policies. - Ship software via CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins): pipelines, artifacts, environments, Helm/Kustomize releases, ArgoCD deployments; - Define infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation; Ansible for config) and keep plans clean/drift-free. - Observability: CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana; SLOs, alerts, runbooks, incident response. - Security & compliance: secrets management, IAM roles for service accounts, image scanning, policies, change controls. - Partner with app teams; troubleshoot across app, container, network, and infra layers.

About the Role: The Cloud Specialist Team enhances CrowdStrike’s ability to grow, position, sell, and maintain cloud security business across all geographic sales theaters. Cloud Specialist's will work with and across CrowdStrike regional sales, sales engineering, marketing, product development, and services organizations to execute cloud security sales playbooks, directly engage customers around CrowdStrike cloud security capabilities, and help customers operationalize and consume cloud security products. Must live in Spain to be considered What You’ll Do: - Drive CrowdStrike’s strategic initiative to secure today’s modern workloads. - Establish partnerships with core sellers and position CrowdStrike’s cloud security offerings to key personas: security, devops, and cloud security. - Collaborate with customers on incorporating CrowdStrike cloud security products within their operational workflows during technical evaluations and post-sales. - Work with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute outreach campaigns that develop cloud security product sales pipeline and customer awareness. - Ad hoc collaboration with field- and cloud service provider-sales teams to help close significant deals. - Train internal teams to better position cloud security products. - Provide Product Management teams customer feedback pertaining to new and existing features/capabilities. - Stay well educated and informed about CrowdStrike’s vision of cloud security product roadmaps, the market landscape for cloud adoption and be certified in cloud computing platforms. - May require modified work hours to accommodate accounts in other time zones, travel up to 50%. What You’ll Need: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology sales with either cloud security or cloud computing products or services. - Fluency in English and at least one of the following: Spanish, French, or Italian - Experience successfully communicating with and advising c-suite, senior management, devops and cloud architect-level customers/clients. - Demonstrated success selling cloud computing services at the C-Suite and senior management levels. - Experience successfully navigating procurement, contracts, and sales processes with cloud buying personas for consumption-based billing models. - Operational excellence in managing sales pipeline and engagement with internal and external corporate sales teams. - Experienced and comfortable presenting cloud computing to large audiences both virtually and in person. - Cloud practitioner certifications preferred. - Qualities of an Ideal Candidate: - A high energy individual who is charismatic & personable to engage internal/external contacts. - Sharp/Quick Witted - thinks on his/her feet. • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and platform services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) with high availability, security-by-design, and operational excellence. • Own Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps or equivalent) for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, and repeatable deployments. • Lead cloud reliability engineering: monitoring/alerting, incident response, capacity planning, patching, and operational runbooks. • Implement backup/DR strategies (Azure Backup / Azure Site Recovery), including routine recovery testing and documented RTO/RPO targets. • Implement identity and access controls (Microsoft Entra ID/AD), RBAC/least privilege, logging/monitoring, and compliance-aligned controls (e.g., SOX/HIPAA where applicable). • Drive FinOps practices: tagging standards, cost allocation, budget/alerting, and optimization recommendations. • Partner with Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Application teams to define reference architectures, standards, and reusable modules. • Mentor engineers and contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of cloud operating procedures. • Lead cloud infrastructure and identity due diligence for acquisitions: assess architecture, security posture, operational maturity, risks, and remediation plans. • Execute Day-0 / Day-30 onboarding for acquired entities: landing zone alignment, subscription/tenant onboarding, network connectivity patterns, and identity integration strategy (Entra/AD).
• Assume responsibility for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based networks and systems. • Ensure reliability, security, and efficiency of cloud infrastructure. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize network performance and supports cloud-based applications and services.
• Defining and driving TSA’s cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and hybrid multi-cloud environments. • Ensuring that cloud solutions are scalable, cost-effective, secure, and aligned with DHS and TSA technical and compliance requirements. • Providing expert guidance on cloud-native service selection, migration approaches, and integration patterns for TSA’s modernization initiatives. • Developing cloud reference architectures, producing cost/benefit analyses and total cost of ownership assessments for cloud migration options. • Providing technical oversight of cloud implementation efforts executed across the concurrent TALON project portfolio. • Leading cloud security architecture design in alignment with DHS Zero Trust requirements, FISMA standards, and TSA’s ICAM framework. • Ensuring that cloud environments meet FedRAMP authorization requirements where applicable.
