About the team The Risk Platform Team at Airwallex is responsible for managing the risk for all the products at Airwallex, including GTPN, PA, Issuing, Onboarding, and Account takeover. The risk landscape is constantly changing, and fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated. We are at the forefront of innovation in risk management. What you'll do You will build end-to-end reporting capabilities across frontend and backend, enabling stakeholders to generate, review, explain, and deliver audit-grade reports efficiently. You'll work on workflows such as metric definition, evidence generation, audit trails, permissions, and report scheduling/distribution, with a strong focus on correctness, data lineage, and user experience. You will collaborate in a diverse environment, aligning requirements with diverse stakeholders and driving clarity in ambiguous audit/compliance scenarios. Responsibilities - Build and maintain audit/compliance reporting web applications, including report templates, parameterized filters, drill-down views, exports, and scheduled delivery. - Design and develop full-stack features (Frontend + Backend) for audit-grade reporting: versioning, approvals, audit trails, access control, and evidence packaging. - Implement high quality UI for complex datasets (large tables, reconciliation views, diff/compare, attachments/evidence views) with strong performance and accessibility. - Develop and maintain backend services/APIs for report generation, data retrieval/aggregation, permissions, logging, and scheduling. - Ensure data correctness and traceability: consistent metric definitions, reproducible outputs, lineage/metadata, and change management for audit defensibility. - Apply native AI to reporting workflows, for example: - AI-assisted requirements understanding and report scoping (turning policy/audit checklist into structured report requirements) - AI-generated report summaries, anomaly explanations, and variance narratives (with citations to underlying data/evidence) - AI copilots for stakeholder Q&A (what changed, why it changed, what evidence supports it) - AI-assisted QA for report outputs (rule-based + AI checks to catch inconsistencies) - Improve system reliability, scalability, and observability (monitoring, alerting, tracing, logging) to meet compliance SLAs. - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Compliance/Risk/Legal/Ops/Data/Engineering) and drive alignment through clear documentation, demos, and iterative delivery. Who you are - B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. - Solid experience with backend development (we welcome different stacks; common ones include Java/Kotlin/Python with Spring / Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks). - Strong experience with frontend development, building production web applications. Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with deep understanding of HTML5/CSS3. Strong experience with React and its ecosystem. - Strong fundamentals in API design, authentication/authorization, and building secure, maintainable systems. - Experience delivering systems that require high correctness (e.g., finance, compliance, reporting, reconciliation, risk), with attention to detail and testing discipline. - Strong communication skills in English: - Able to lead discussions with stakeholders, clarify ambiguous requirements, and drive alignment - Comfortable writing structured docs (PRD/tech design), presenting updates, and managing expectation across time zones - Ownership mindset and a clear focus on measurable customer outcomes (accuracy, timeliness, audit readiness, usability).
