Our hosting team delivers InterSystems’ solutions as hosted or managed services, anywhere in the world. As more and more clients change to hosted solutions, we are looking for junior and senior systems engineers to join the team and help us with delivering the high levels of availability, performance and security that our clients have come to rely on. Responsibilities - Deployment - Work with our co-location partners to design appropriate cage, rack and server layouts and to ensure the ongoing provision of space, power and cooling in support of existing and forecasted solutions. - Work with the engineering/architecture teams to design solutions so as to maximize performance, efficiency and operability of hosted solutions. - Lead and/or participate in the provisioning and deployment of server, network and other hosting-related equipment, including hands-on build and configuration as/when required - Participate in the deployment of new applications and/or changes, ensuring that all service components are documented and monitored and integrated into the company’s operational processes. - Perform hardware qualification testing on new hardware platforms and certify them for production deployments. - Work with stakeholders across the solutions lifecycle to ensure that pre-operational sign-offs are obtained, so as to ensure that solutions can be operated in a way that meets or exceeds performance targets e.g. security, availability and response times. - Assist with the troubleshooting of integration issues. - Consulting with technical stakeholders (including customers) on the delivery of hosted solutions. Responsibilities – Operations - Hands-on administration and maintenance of hosted solutions and related infrastructure (firewalls, switches, servers, storage, etc.) including pro-active identification and fixing of potential incidents, backup management, etc. - Participate in the definition, documentation, operation and continuous improvement of operational processes e.g. ITIL-based processes such as incident, change, problem and configuration management, and the smooth integration of these with wider company processes and systems. - Define, implement, monitor and report on metrics that are required for the delivery of highly-available hosted services, as well as to meet the needs of the wider organization e.g. management, engineering, customer services and our customers. - Provide technical support for all areas of hosted services, including participation on a 24x7 on-call rota; ensure the timely resolution of incidents and/or problems affecting hosted solutions and deploy approved changes and/or updates as required. - Further enhance the automation of hosting-related processes e.g. deployment of changes, deployment of new services, inventory management, security scanning, service level reporting, etc. Experience & Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with server hosting (e.g. data center) infrastructure and (ideally) management with Cisco UCS blades - Hands-on storage/SAN deployment and (ideally) management experience with EMC Unity, Data Domain, Avamar. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will: - Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications - Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure - Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals - Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future - Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors - Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices - Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements - Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success - Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results - Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals - Interact with customer and vendor. Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education - 5+ years of Broadcom CA7, CA11, CA1 installation and administration experience - 5+ years of z/OS experience - 5+ years of JCL(Job Control Language) experience Desired Qualifications: - Broadcom Autosys experience - 5+ years RACF experience - 5+ years SMP/E experience - 5+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience - 5+ years of experience installing third party tools for IBM, Broadcom, or BMC - zOS Unix System Services - REXX programming language Job Expectations: - Support all aspects of Broadcom's CA7 workload automation tool suite - This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship - This position can be 100% remote This position will focus on the Broadcom suite of products regarding workload automation.
